THE MINNESOTA FIELD TRIP LIBRARY YOUR PARTNER IN OUTREACH & PROMOTION
Alternative Programs (MAAP) Education Conference
In 2 years we’ve taken the
MN FIELD TRIP LIBRARY EXHIBIT to 65+ Conferences all over Minnesota
• 42 Education conferences • 9 Scouting conferences & events • 9 Homeschooling conferences • 2 Church conferences • 1 Park & Recreation conference • 2 Tourism events • With at least 24 more scheduled for 2013
There we distribute literature from our 50+ Partners and gather names of highly-qualified educators, scout leaders, homeschoolers, recreation program coordinators, and youth group leaders. All of these are individuals who tell us they do field trips, school programs, fundraisers and use bus/travel services.
Science Teachers (MnSTA) Education Conference
Our strategy is to always provide our Partners with outreach support that is unique and productive...

A 4-COMPONENT PROMOTIONAL INITIATIVE THAT WILL KEEP YOU IN FRONT OF PLANNERS...
1. THE MN FIELD TRIP LIBRARY EXHIBIT Since August 2010, we’ve had the Library exhibit at 65+ MN conferences of different disciplines & types. (See the 2012 conference list at: www.MnFieldTripLibrary.org) At these we are able to put Partner information and brochures into the attendee’s hands, discuss programs and services, and gather names to promote the following three outreach components of the Field Trip Library. 24 more conferences and events are planned for 2013.
2. THE LIBRARY ONLINE
Available 24/7, and long after the annual conference is done, The Library Online is a unique online resource on our website... full of ideas - all year long! Not only do planners discover new ideas in the directories, there are Partner resource webpages for Grant Resources, Performance Venues, and Youth Days!
3. THE FIELD TRIP ALERTS
The Field Trip ALERTS email is compiled and sent out monthly to our growing list of planners. It is filled with exciting news & announcements from Partners.
4. THE ANNUAL FIELD TRIP EXPO
After a year of promotion, everything peaks each August for our Partners with the MN Field Trip EXPO! The EXPO is acclaimed as “fantastic” by both exhibitors and attendees who’ve been at one or both of the first 2 EXPOs (Base Camp BSA, and Mall of America). Both years planners have “packed the house”! Attendees include educators, homeschoolers, activities coordinators, and youth group leaders who love having all the providers “in one place at one time”!
