No matter your comfortability level, we want to meet the needs of our community during this time. We’re happy that we can still do that, and we’re hopeful for the future! Y CHILDWATCH IS BACK! AGES 2 YEARS-10 YEARS OLD As a member benefit to families, Childwatch is included in your Family membership! Childwatch Hours* Monday – Friday....................... 9 – 10:15 am; 10:30-11:45 am; 12-1:15 pm Monday – Thursday.................. 3:45 -5:45 pm, 6-8 pm Friday ..................................... 4:30-6:30 pm Children can enjoy free play and/or participate in activities that may include painting, crafts, reading, STEM projects or music. Parents can work-out, lap swim, take a class, shower or read a book in our lobby (parents are required to be in the building at all times). *Reservations are required through Motionvibe, and may be made up to 48 hours ahead of time, with one reservation per day per child. Drop off and pick up can be anytime within your reservation slot. We can accommodate a maximum of 6 children per time slot. Childwatch is provided to adult and family level memberships. It is included with your Family Membership, and is $3/child for adult level memberships. All children are required to wear a mask at all times. EARLY LEARNING CENTER The MetroWest YMCA Early Learning Center, Framingham, provides high quality early education and care to children ages 15 months through 5 years old. Our classes are designed to make your child feel safe and comfortable while learning, exploring, socializing and having fun. Activities at the Y are designed to put learning in the context of play and to celebrate the joys of learning and growing. Monday - Friday (year-round) 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Ages 15 months - 6 years old 5 day for Toddlers 2,3 & 5 day options for preschool
SCHOOL’S OUT! There’s plenty for kids and parents to love about the Y’s School’s Out Program. Kid’s get to experiment with their new knowledge, move their bodies, and be surrounded by positive adult role models. Kids who attend School’s Out have the opportunity to explore nature, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. And, of course, it’s fun too! COMING THIS FALL 2021 NEW HOPKINTON LOCATIONS Starting in the fall of 2021, before school programming will take place at Marathon Elementary School. The Hopkinton Public Schools will transport students to Elmwood and Hopkins Elementary Schools. After school programming will occur on site at Marathon, Elmwood and Hopkins Elementary Schools with transportation between schools available.

Intro to Geocaching
All ages welcome! Saturday May 1st 10am-12pm Members FREE | Non-members $10/person Unsure of what “Geocaching” is? Come and learn the basics behind the ongoing treasure hunts scattered all over the world! After going over the basics, we will embark on our own hunt for the Geocaches located on FOC property and well as discuss how to find ones that may be hidden in your own neighborhood.
Low Impact Walk in the Woods (Green level)
All ages welcome! Saturday May 22nd 9:30am-11:30am Members FREE | Non-members $5 per person Never considered yourself a hiker? Worried about being in the woods? Unsure of your abilities? This walkabout is designed for families, young adults, or adults who have wanted to get outside more but are unsure of where to start. Included will be a review of basic hiking safety followed by a leisurely walk through the woods along short trails connected to the main campus for easy access.
Planning for a Day Hike (Yellow level – off site)
Ages: Teens and adults who are able to cover 2-4 miles) Saturday May 22nd 12pm-4pm Members $5/ person | Nonmembers $10/person Ready to take your hiking skills to the next level? This community event will begin with a review of gear involved with a ½ - full day hike, before heading off on a moderately challenging hike that will cover some further out trails on property before heading over to Ashland state forest/reservoir.
Family Day on the Ropes Course
(Ages: generally 6+, but minimum must fit into harness) Saturday June 5th 12pm-4pm (register for a 1-hour block on Personify) Members FREE | Non-members $10 per climber Come and try out some of our high elements on the outdoor ropes course! Check out our outdoor climbing tower, Vertical Playpen, Catwalk, or Islands in the Sky. Take your climbing experience to a higher level and come spend some time up in the trees.

FT is a fun, fast paced 30 minute workout taking place in the spectacular Turf and Functional Training Area. Be prepared to engage multiple muscle groups and perform total body movements using a variety of the equipment. FT is an anaerobic, high intensity strength and conditioning class. We’ll use body weight exercises such as pushups on the stroller and walking lunges and resistance bands to kick things up a notch. Developed by Stanford University and based on the Chronic Disease Self-Management curriculum, this program is for people with diabetes, their families and caregivers.
YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program (YDPP)
The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Virtual Program helps overweight adults at risk for type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being. Led by a Lifestyle coach, participants learn small, measurable, changes that can reduce your risk and help you live a happier, healthier life.

Health Risks may include: Physical Activity, Emotions, Weight Management, Nutrition, Socialization and many more. Meet with a trained health coach in a one-onone sessions via phone or Zoom to create an action plan that meets your personal needs. YMCA’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program (BPSM)
A 4 month program designed to help participants with hypertension lower their blood pressure by following an evidence-based program that combines blood pressure self-monitoring, nutrition education seminars and personalized support. A Healthy Heart Ambassador will support, guide, and educate each participant in this simple evidence-based program. FREE blood Pressure Cuff. Free monthly nutrition webinars. Parkinson’s class
April 28 - June 18 Wed & Fridays 11-11:45am via Zoom Each class includes balance, cognition, strength, and flexibility exercises. All exercises are modified to accommodate each individual’s needs and ability. Anyone with Parkinson’s, MS or any other neuromuscular condition is welcomed.
