More AMA EnduroCross Experience and Another Pro Podium in British Columbia as Ryan Graffunder Prepares for Canadian Enduro Championship Following his recent Pro Class Podium at British Columbia’s Squealin’ Pig Hare Scramble, FP Racing’s Ryan Graffunder soldiered his way through Round 2 of the 2012 AMA EnduroCross series in Sacramento, California to earn another serious dose of experience as he prepares for the opening rounds of the 2012 Canadian Enduro Championship. The CECs are set to kick off July 7th in Vernon, BC. Saint John, NB – June 27, 2012 -

After storming his way to another solid Masters Podium in BC on May 20th with his 3rd place finish behind Overall 2011 Off-Road Champ, Bobby Prochnau and 2011 E3 Champion, Geoff Nelson, Graffunder made the 18 hour trek to Sacramento to try and earn more invaluable experience battling the big boys in the USA’s 2012 AMA EnduroCross series.

Graffunder (44) shared the podium in Vernon with Overall Winner, Bobby Prochnau (7) and Geoff Nelson (84).

After taking the Expert Class Win at the EnduroCross race in Oregon on March 10th, and then earning some serious stripes at the opening round of the 2012 AMA EnduroCross series in Las Vegas on May 4th where Ryan took 4th Overall in Open Amateur and then proceeded to earn his first Pro points in AMA EnduroCross, Graffunder was hoping to improve his results in Sacramento, California on June 9th.

Unfortunately, Ryan’s charge in Sacramento did work out as planned and he missed his goals of building on his Vegas results and earning one of the remaining qualifying spots for the 2012 X Games that are slated for July 1st in Los Angeles, California “The win at the Oregon race back in March lit a fire under me for sure”, said Graffunder. “I knew my training was paying off and that I had the fitness and speed. It was definite motivation to stay focused and keep inching forward. Vegas was awesome. No doubt I was satisfied, and it felt good to nail my goal of making it into the night show and earning my first pro points in the US. I had at good run at the hare scramble in Vernon. Bobby and Geoff were definitely flying but I felt strong trying to hunt them down. It was good to be on the podium when the day was done and I’m just keen to keep progressing. Sacramento was disappointing. I was fired up to try and up my game from where I left off in Vegas and see if I could earn a spot at the X Games. The night just did not work out the way I wanted, but I know I can improve. I’m looking forward to doing as many more endurocross rounds as I can after the CECs are over, and there is no question that I want that spot at the X Games next year.”

Ryan Graffunder In 2011, Graffunder scored a well earned Hat Trick by nailing the Top Pro Junior Award for the third consecutive year in the Canadian Enduro Championship. The award is presented to the CECs top pro that is 21 years or under. Ryan made a clean sweep by taking the award in 2009, 2010 and 2011. “My program has been solid all winter and spring and I’m really comfortable with my bike and set up. I can’t wait for the Nationals to kick off in Vernon. I’ve been working hard and I feel ready for battle. I know the organizers and crew have been working hard to get things dialed for the first two rounds and I think it’s going to be a great race weekend.” Since 2007, Feeding Performance has supported more than 15 of Canada’s top racers as they challenged the sport’s best competitors across Canada and in various countries around the globe, including; Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and the United States.
