Team Canada Nominee: Tyler Medaglia ͞It would be an honour to again be part of ĂŶĂĚĂ͛Ɛ dĞĂŵ in Lommel for 2012! As I grew up riding in the sand, I believe I am well positioned to compete with the best riders at one of the toughest sand circuits in the world. My first 2 appearances at the MXON where great experiences for me. The first at Donington Park, Great Britain in 2008 was a real eye opener for me as far as the whole experience seeing the number of fans and the different way things are run in Europe, everything from track prep, to the pit area, staging and the mechanics area where quite a bit different from what we are used to in North America. My second appearance was in Brescia, Italy in 2009. It was a bit of a bitter sweet event for me although I got hurt the second time on the track and couldn't race. I had always wanted to see Italy being that half my family is Italian. It was an awesome experience for me. I think coming into this year I have the best chance to do really well as my form is great and I believe I am one of, if not the best Canadian sand rider.͟
History: I started racing at the age of 6 at Sand Del Lee and from there did local races in New York state, Ontario and Quebec. In 2003 I won most of my races as an Intermediate and B rider in North America. I missed most of 04 and 05 due to injuries with surgery. From 06 on I progressed each season eventually winning the
Montreal Supercross MX2 class twice. I won the AMA Arenacross Lites west Championship, 2 Canadian MX MX2 Championships and I have held 2 AMA National Numbers from attending only one race. This season I am going for an MX1 Championship. I know that all the people involved in the team have given a 100% effort including myself as far as training and preparation with the bike. We are extremely happy and confident coming into the first round at Nanaimo.
