Wheels Keep On Turn’ In Things aren’t going the way they were planned. The Yamalube Schrader’s SMX Racing team seems to keep hitting a wall but team owner /manager Jackie Maffenbeier remains optimistic. “We’ve simply had some bad luck and with only 3 rounds left we’re looking to have things turn around.”
Photo by James Lissimore The weekend started out great with both Shawn Maffenbeier and Shawn Robinson having great practices. Qualifiers went sideways with both boys thankfully getting in a timed lap. Moto 1 for Shawn Maffenbeier had him finish with a 9th place. “I was able to get loose and able to have a decent finish.”

Coming over a jump my bike hit neutral causing me to crash. The result, a season ending broken arm,” said Robinson. A tough ending for a promising year. “Shawn has worked very hard and our disappointment for him is great,” said owner/manager Randy Maffenbeier.
