About Team Cruise Craft

Where Size Does Matter How long is a boat? That depends on the method a manufacturer uses to determine the length of their hull. Here at CruiseCraft we measure the length at the centre line of the hull from the bow (ex BowSprit) to the transom where the outboard sits. Some people become

confused because some manufacturers may include the BowSprit which is part of the deck structure and transom extensions as their length. This then becomes length overall and not necessarily just the hull.

The Nichols family has been at the forefront of the Australian boating industry since Roy Nichols established the boat building company in August 1946. Today the business is still owned and operated by third generation Nichols family members. But it was way back in the mid 1940’s that the name Nichols Bros. became synonymous with an unrelenting commitment to design excellence and manufacturing quality. Nichols Bros. launched the CruiseCraft brand in 1960 and its first fibreglass model in 1967.

The following decades brought about a host of award winning fibreglass boat designs and a strengthening interest in the CruiseCraft brand for strong and reliable fishing boats. In 2006, the CruiseCraft company celebrated its 60th Anniversary Year in the Australian boat manufacturing business. A strong sentiment of family togetherness and passion over six decades has seen CruiseCraft become a favoured boating brand for families and fishing enthusiasts alike.

COMFORT & STABILITY This comes from the combination of waterline beam and the degree of V in the hull at the transom. The published width or beam of a boat is measured at its widest point, and is useful mainly for towing and storing. The Explorer 625 is now well established as a legendary model of the Australian blue water fishing scene. Just as soon as you step on board you will appreciate all the thought that has gone into developing this as a thoroughbred fishing machine. By any measure this is a big boat that will carry a family or any fishing group, far offshore in absolute safety and comfort. The Explorer 625 features a raised deck line, so as to provide a heap of space in the cabin. Under the flowing line of the cabin, and fitted forward of the helm, is a cabin that features a fully moulded interior. This delivers very smooth, neat lines that ensures the Explorer 625 is easy to use and easy to own. The cockpit is expansive, with the helm position pushed a little futher forward, to make fishing even easier. This is a dream ‘work space’ for game fishermen. The cockpit area is broad, thanks to the big 2.45m beam of the hull. Check the complete list of features and you’ll soon see the stand outs that set the Explorer apart from the competition…sub floor foam, stainless steel seat frames, 240 litre fuel sub floor tank, dual cockpit lights and walk-through transom door. Blue water sports fishing boats have never been as good as the Explorer 625.

All CruiseCraft boats are backed by an industry leading 7 Year Manufacturers Warranty. The construction process behindthe CruiseCraft brand offers superiorhull integrity and strength for unrivalled offshore performance and structural longevity. The advanced hull construction technique involves an innovative sub-floor girder system, moulded cockpit liner and foam filled sub floor. Giving exceptional confidence in the integrity of the hull, the sub-floor construction assures CruiseCraft customers of a superior ride and excellent handling in rough conditions.

Electric Anchor Winch Storm Cover

A key safety element to the sub-floor structure is the use of moisture & fuel retardant 2-Pak polyurethane foam throughout the sealed floor cavity. Not only does the foam greatly reduce hull noise but also significantly increases the buoyancy rating of the hull for added safety. CruiseCraft‘s commitment to manufacturing excellence has seen their Brisbane boat building facility embrace the stringent European CE level of manufacturing certification. International success across the Asia Pacific region has attracted significant CruiseCraft interest in Europe with CruiseCraft now complying with the exacting standards of CE certification.

Bulkhead Curtain with Flyscreen

The CruiseCraft CE models, including the Explorer and Outsider series, offer both Australian and International customers a range of performance benefits including the use of sub-floor foam and a highgrade laminate structure. The CE Standards are approved by the International Marine Certification Institute (IMCI) together with the relevant requirements of ISO and the Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC. The result is a range of tough Australian-built boats that excel in Australia and exceed all safety and manufacturing expectations across the Asia Pacific and European marine markets.
