A festival of international flavors opens at

SM Mall of Asia

Take your taste buds on a trip around the world, as the Mall of Asia holds its International Food Festival from September 5 to 30, 2014. The #moaintlfoodfest includes an exciting line up of activities that will surely tickle your appetite for great food discoveries, awesome prizes, and special treats! Over 50 participating restaurants will showcase dishes prepared exclusively for this month-long celebration of world-class cuisine. Photos of the “Special Eats” will be exhibited at the 2nd Floor Entertainment Mall, (near IMAX) What’s more is that diners will get to taste the gustatory delights for themselves at the participating restaurants! Its Special Eats dish is the Chicken a la Kiev, classic breaded chicken breast stuffed with garlic and herb butter, deep fried, and served with vegetables and choice of rice, fries or mashed potatoes.

SOI is a casual fullservice restaurant that offers a broad line of more than 70 quality Thai cuisines serving a variety of noodles, rice dishes, salad, soup, curry dishes, grills, specialties and dessert. For the food festival, Soi is showcasing the Rad Na - a Thai noodle dish made from wide flat rice noodles topped with sauteed seafood (shrimps, fish fillet, squid) and assorted vegetables such as carrots, straw mushrooms, young corn, and Chinese broccoli in thick gravy seasoned with Thai seasonings.

Modern Shanghai Modern Shanghai‘s mission is to provide “quality and innovative“ Chinese cuisine from Beijing, Sichuan and Shanghai. The restaurant offers the most original home cooked recipes. It is ranked as no.1 on Spot.ph and is confident in saying that it offers one of the best “Xiao long Bao”. Its Special Eats dish is the Hainanese Chicken.

Bulgogi Brothers Bulgogi Brothers is a Korean casual dining restaurant known for flavorful barbecue and authentic Korean dishes. It won Best Korean Restaurant 2012 at the Korean National Brands Awards. Its Special Eats dish is the King Bibimbap, a traditional Korean favorite now fit for a king with its assortment of chicken, seafood, and beef bulgogi toppings with vegetables and egg over a bowl of hot rice. For this event, Mey Lin has prepared the Fried Spicy Chicken Cutlets dish. It is a dish from the Levant Region (Eastern Mediterranean) made of cracked wheat, minced onions and finely ground lamb and beef. EUROPEAN Bistro Ravioli A casual dining restaurant that brings Italy closer to Manila by way of traditional Italian cuisine like fresh pasta, brick oven pizza and of course, ravioli as specialty of the house. Its entry in the SM MOA International Food Festival is the Chorizo Ravioli with Creole Shrimp in Vodka Cream sauce. The chorizo is made by Bistro Ravioli which is then stuffed into the restaurant’s fresh pasta.

Shrimp Shack The Shrimp Shack intends to capture the culinary experience of traveling to this wonderful destination, its mission is to give guests an authentic Hawaiian Shrimp Scampi Experience. For the food festival, Shrimp Shack will be offering a braised beef dish called, Angus Pot Roast Beef Belly. IHOP A famous international brand that prides itself in serving authentic American dishes all day, every day, it is initially known as a breakfast place but IHOP has expanded menu-wise, all encompassing to cover several comfort food cravings. IHOP is highlighting its Chicken and Waffles as its Special Eats dish, which has two pieces of their crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, fried chicken on top of a buttery waffle. What makes it more special is its sriracha and butter pecan syrup.

A casual dining restaurant chain that serves the best ribs in town, it takes great pride in the quality and delicious taste of its ribs. For the food festival, it will be serving the Kansas City Style Babys – seasoned with Racks secret rib rub, slowly smoked, then grilled and basted with their homemade Kansas-style barbeque sauce. It will be served with a salad and your choice of two sides.
