JO POLACK STUDIO GALLERY

A refreshing chance to experience working studio and beautiful gallery combined. Feel instantly welcomed by the artist to explore walls of vibrant underwater cliff faces singing with anemone and coral. Iridescent mackerel, detailed seaweed studies and ‘invisible oceans’; her latest plankton series, are expertly stitched into contemporary hangings and framed art. Prints, cards, gifts compliment originals. Jo swims and roams rockpools in nearby coves, collaborates with marine ecologists, environmental groups, historians bringing hidden gems to the surface through her unusual, playful techniques. In addition to marine themes her signature hummingbird ecosculptures hang, ‘Stitch Maps’ explore sense of place, 3D textiles celebrate Cornish woodland. Guest artists exhibit too. CELIA CREEPER Celia can be found most days painting in her studio gallery, which is through the courtyard of Churchtown Arts in St. Agnes, and is open all year round. Her art is heavily influenced by her love of the Cornish landscape, harbours and coves. She paints in a variety of mediums and styles - large, bright, bold canvases in oils, together with more traditional, delicate watercolours. From these a selection of prints and cards are available. She also creates an ever increasing collection of affordable poster art and lino prints, printed in an array of colours, on a variety of handmade papers. A selection of locally made driftwood and wood turned artefacts also compliment this well stocked gallery. A picture framing service is also available from The Loft Studio.
