Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure to increase and improve the appearance of breasts. As the name implies, it is a process to give more volume to the female breast and is the most requested cosmetic procedure in South Florida.
We make the incision usually in the areola. This is a rather complicated surgery that leaves no significant scarring. Areola scar is usually barely visible.
Who can practice the procedure? This procedure is indicated for patients who want to improve the appearance and volume of the breasts. Patients who have had a pregnancy or have lost weight naturally and does not have the desired volume in their breasts; they are ideal candidates for this procedure. Patients should have a good general state of health to be ideal candidates for this surgery.
Implant Placement Once the incision surgeon proceeds to place the implant which is normally under the muscle. The saline implant can be filled prior to or at the time of surgery. Meanwhile, the implant silicone gel filler is pre filled and then placed.
Recovery and care after surgery
This procedure restores firmness to the abdomen. After this procedure the patient can show a flat and firm abdomen.
The day after surgery the patient has its first follow-up appointment where medical staff will review the surgery. The second follow-up appointment is in seven days, when stitches and drains will be removed. Next follow up appointments will be scheduled every seven days for a month, date in which the patient usually receives medical clearance.
