Museums
Branson is home to many one-of-a-kind, world-famous, and exciting museums. Who said vacations couldn’t be fun and educational at the same time? Relive your childhood at the World’s Largest Toy Museum, which doubled its size in 2016 with the addition of the Those Were the Days Memory Barn.
You’ll be amazed by the exterior of The Titanic Museum Attraction which looks like the Titanic, but wait till you see the inside. This museum is world class. Be sure to check out their rotating featured displays. The Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center includes several attractions and is a family favorite.
If you love cars be sure to visit the Branson Auto and Farm Museum. You can actually buy some of what you see there.
The new Ancient Ozarks Natural History Museum at Top of the Rock just south 26

Branson Mill Craft Village The Branson Mill Craft Village is like nothing else in Branson. Inside you’ll find hundreds of booths lining spacious aisles with over 40,000 square feet of shopping space.
Many of the items you’ll see are made right here in the Ozarks and some are created right before your eyes by demonstrating artists. You‘ll see these craftsmen demonstrating their skills in everything from leather carving, pottery, wood carving, painting, and even feather painting. The Branson Mill Craft Village has a wide variety of craftsmen under one roof.
Another unique thing about the Branson Mill Craft Village is the resident artists and vendors that hold classes and workshops for the public. Classes range from pottery, card making,
and scrapbooking to scroll saw.
If that wasn’t enough, inside the building is a live television studio that features The Kevin Shorey Show, which tapes Tuesday through Friday at 10am. If you’ve ever wanted to see how a TV show is filmed and produced here is your chance. The Branson Mill Craft Village is where art meets entertainment.
After you’ve finished shopping, you can grab a bite to eat in the Village at Treehouse Cafe or stop by Tequila’s 2 Mexican restaurant next door. You’ll also find a few other stores in the complex such as Coleman Factory Outlet to Leather Trading Company. There’s no charge for admission to the Branson Mill Craft Village, which is open daily from 9am to 6pm.

Outdoors
Outdoor activities abound in the Branson area and are one of the reasons why Branson is the great family friendly destination that it is. Many of the outdoor activities mentioned here will provide an opportunity to enjoy the wonders of God’s creation. Caves Let’s go caving, or more properly known as spelunking! Talking Rocks Cavern is the most convenient cave located in Branson West. In addition, there is Silver Dollar City’s Marvel Cave, Cosmic Caverns found between Branson and Eureka Springs, and Mystic Caverns located just south of Harrison, AR. Or drive a golf cart through Lost Canyon Cave, just south of Branson at Top of the Rock. Ziplines Fly through the trees and catch an adrenaline rush on a number of ziplines around town. A fan favorite is Adventure Ziplines, located in the heart of Branson which features 7 high-flying ziplines. There are 5 other zipline experiences available around the Branson area. And So Much More Discover one of the best nature parks in the country located just south of Branson at Dogwood Canyon, which features thousands of recreational acres. Take a tram tour, fly fish, bike ride or just stroll the trails of Dogwood Canyon. You will be amazed by this outdoor paradise, 42
developed by Bass Pro’s Johnny Morris. If you’re into hiking, there are a number of trails to enjoy. One natural escape is the Lakeside Forest Wilderness, which is a wooded and rugged 130 acres of Ozark goodness.
Also, explore The Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area, which features 5 trails on 1,534 acres, all ranging from .3 to 3.4 miles. The 2.2 mile Table Rock Lakeshore Trail is a pleasant walk from the Dewey Short Visitor Center to the Showboat Branson Belle area.
Join locals and tourists alike at Moonshine Beach, north of Table Rock Dam, to relax and enjoy the waters of Table Rock Lake. Who said you need a coast for a beach? If water isn’t your focus, go horsebacking in the Ozark Mountains at several locations around Branson, so saddle up!

3 Great Area Lakes Showcasing Outdoor Fun
Table Rock Lake When it was completed, Table Rock Dam was a marvel. The dam itself is nearly 6500 feet long and stands over 250 feet above the stream beneath it. Table Rock Lake, spreading across Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas, offers some of the world’s best bass fishing, several commercial marinas, and over 850 miles of shoreline.
Lake Taneycomo Since completion of the Table Rock Dam, the headwaters of Lake Taneycomo that pour from the bottom of Table Rock Lake, make Taneycomo a cold-water lake, perfect for trout fishing. In fact, the lake is stocked with nearly 400,000 ten to twelve inch trout each year. Bull Shoals Lake Built downstream from the Powersite Dam in 1952, Bull Shoals Lake offers pristine views, mile after mile of undeveloped shoreline, clear waters (perfect for scuba diving), and amazing bass and walleye fishing. The Bassmaster Elite Tournament and the White River Electric Cooperative Fishing Tournament are just a couple of tournaments to frequent Bull Shoals.

Activities Visitors to Branson and the Tri-Lakes area can swim, water ski, kayak, jet ski, parasail, float, boat, sail, or scuba dive. Of course, some folks just want to fish. Several commercial marinas on the lakes offer rentals of house boats, pontoons, ski boats, fishing boats, and scuba equipment.
The Corps of Engineers has developed public swimming areas on the lakes, including the ever popular Moonshine Beach, near the Table Rock Dam. Table Rock State Park offers launch sites, a marina, picnic areas, and a swimming area. Visitors Center The Dewey Short Visitors Center is considered the gem of Table Rock Lake. Located at the Table Rock Dam, the center is part museum and part information station. This architectural beauty sits next to Table Rock Dam and is a favorite stop for kids.

A Gary Player designed mountain top course, a 13 hole, par 3, family course is set to open later in 2017. Myer Family History Celebrating 50 years of hospitality in 2017. Based in Branson, Missouri, Myer Hospitality is one of the reasons the area is well-known as a great family vacation destination: family owned businesses. Carroll and Janice Myer, founders of Myer Hotels, began a hotel career in 1967 when they purchased their first motel in O’Neill, Nebraska.

In 1972, Carroll and Janice bought their first property in Branson, the Branson Motor Court. The resort remains today in much the same fashion it did then. The Myer family continued to develop in the motel business with a move to Julesburg, Colorado where they owned a Best Western. Drawn back to the Ozarks, they moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 1976. They purchased a 100-unit Ramada Inn in Harrison, Arkansas. With a commitment to quality, cleanliness and overall excellence, in 1978 the Myer’s Ramada was named the best Ramada Inn in the country. The family owned the property for 12 years, during which time numerous stars visited, including the King of Rock-N-Roll himself, Elvis Presley. Carroll and Janice Myer were helped by their three sons who grew up learning the lodging business. Other hotels were purchased in Arkansas. Despite their success, something continued to pull the family toward Branson.

In the early 80s, Carroll and Janice purchased the Best Western Knights Inn (currently the Best Western Center Pointe Inn) in Branson. One of their sons, Gail, and his wife, MaryAnn, became the managers. The Myer family added over 70 new rooms, an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, exercise room, game room and converting the onsite restaurant to a Country Kitchen (now Montana Mike’s Steak House). With Branson developing into a top tourism destination, the Myer family committed to the unique town. All their hotels in Arkansas were sold and in 1990s, the family opened a new Comfort Inn overlooking the 14th hole of the Thousand Hills Golf Course and then built the Best Western Music Capital Inn across from the Shoji Tabuchi Theatre followed by the purchase of what is today the Quality Inn West. In 2001, the Myer family opened the Comfort Inn & Suites Branson Meadows. The development marked the first hotel construction in Branson since the mid-90s. The hotel offers guests a beautiful mountain lodge theme and an amazing million-dollar view of the Ozarks area. In fact, this hotel has become one of the most awarded Comfort Inns in the brand. In Dec. 2009, the Myer family completed acquisition of the Holiday Inn Express on Green Mountain Drive in Branson and made several enhancements. While operating six hotels currently, focus is on continual improvement within those properties. Each year projects are undertaken to enhance, remodel or add on to Myer Hotels. Today, Carroll and Janice Myer act as advisers and consultants to the company while two of their sons oversee daily operations: Gail is the Vice President of Operations and Chris is the Vice President of Marketing. Along with the outstanding support of management and each hotel’s team members, the Myer family continues to excel in the lodging industry. In the Fall of 2017, the Myer family will celebrate 50 years in the lodging industry.
