Professional Skillshop The Professional Skillshop is a one-day portfolio building and networking event for creatives who are already working in industry or finished a higher education training in their specific field.

Become part of the Creative Skillshop community together with professional photographers, fashion stylists, videpgraphers, models, makeup artists. The creative teams on the day will work to complete a commercial beauty and campaign shoot for portfolio use. This is a chance for Hair Stylists to upgrade their existing portfolios with current industry trends and imagery as well as network with upg the right people. Hair Stylists will be mentored throughout the day by experienced industry professionals and offered invaluable industry tips and tricks. The fast paced environment challenges the creative process with teams working to tight deadlines to achieve the desired final look.

Hair Stylists will: • Learn various styling methods & techniques to achieve a range of iconic looks • Further their knowledge of up to date quick tips and tricks of the trade for fashion, editorial work • Learn the latest fashion and hair trends hitting the runway, bring them into your fashion shoots • Learn how to create a look that will withstand a long days shoot and transform into a 2nd style • Learn the trending hair products suited to specific hair types & using them to your advantage • Understand how to read and prepare a client brief for various projects & communicate with team.

• Learn how to break down a reference image to decipher the beginning middle and end result.

• Identify the skills, tools, product according to the hair type and texture • Work towards building a strong commercial fashion portfolio • Hair Stylists will receive 10 retouched portfolio images and 5 behind the scenes images • Hair Stylists will receive a 2-minute show reel • Images will be published in the Creative Skillshop fashion Magazine “Joose”.
