Three little tugboats sat next to a big ship at the dock. “I need help,” said the big ship to the first little tugboat. “Can you tug me out to sea?”

2

“I cannot tug you out to sea,” said the first little tugboat. “I am too old to help you.”

3

“Can you tug me out to sea?” said the big ship to the second little tugboat.

4

“I am too little  to tug you out to sea,” said the second little tugboat. “I cannot help you  go out to sea.”

5

“We are not too old. We are not too little,” said the third little tugboat.

6

“We are very strong boats. We can work with each other to get this ship out to sea.”

7

The three little tugboats bumped the big ship with their soft pads.

8

9

The three little tugboats got out their yellow ropes and tugged the big ship out to sea.

10

“We are not too old. We are not too little. We are the tugboat team,” they said.

11

Then the big ship saw some big rocks.

“We can help you,” said the tugboat team.

“Help me!” said the big ship. “I am going to hit the rocks!”

One little tugboat bumped the ship with its soft pads. Two little tugboats tugged the big ship.

12

13

They tugged and bumped and bumped and tugged the big ship.

14

The big ship did not hit the rocks. It went out to sea.
