Some baby monkeys do not have a mother. When a baby monkey does not have a mother, it has no one to teach it how to find food and stay safe. It has no one to teach it how to live in the forest.

Sometimes a baby monkey that does not have a mother is taken to a safe place where people will look after it. They will teach the baby monkey how to find food and stay safe. When the baby monkey is bigger, it can go back and live in the forest.  4

The baby monkey is looked after. It is fed milk.

When the baby monkey gets bigger, it eats plants, seeds, and insects.

Sometimes food is hidden. The baby monkey has to find it. This will teach the baby monkey how to find food when it lives in the forest.

When the baby monkey gets older, people will teach it how to play with other monkeys.

Now the baby monkey can find food. It can play with other monkeys.

The baby monkey can go back  to live in the forest. 16
