MYRA IMRAN

Textile Designer Inspired by unfamiliar places, social issues, typography and experiences, Myra Imran has always been driven to discover the unknown. Based in Lahore, Pakistan, her design aesthetics are reflective of a global influence. Myra developed her unique “Surreal and rather Contemporary” design aesthetics influenced by Spanish surrealist, Salvador Dali and several other contemporary artist like Yayoi Kusama, who is a Japanese contemporary artist. Inspired by the Futurist movement, the designer’s work is mostly an amalgamation of contemporary and modern art. Graduated from Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design (PIFD) with a Textiles Design major degree, her graduation collection inspired by her late Grandfather was a visual take on comfort textiles and body postures.
