Have a Butchers! HM Sheridan is on the move... Here at HM Sheridan Banchory, we have some exciting news to share…. We are relocating to a new premises on the High Street and look forward to many more years as your local butcher in the heart of your community. Please keep your eyes peeled for our exciting new look shop, which will feature several new services, including: Cu�ng Counter – watch our professional staff freshly cut your steaks and roasts just how you like them. Sandwich Bar & Pizzas – choose Sheridan’s for your lunchtime treat. We will of course still have all our traditional favourites available such as sausages, burgers and pies as well as jams and preserves. HM Sheridan are members of the Scottish Craft Butchers, an organisation founded over 100 years ago to look after the interests and promote Scotland’s Craft Butchers. They are an organisation committed to ensuring customers can buy the finest meat and meat products in a food-safe, friendly and welcoming environment. HM Sheridan began trading in April 1963 using a converted garage and one van. Within a few years Michael Sheridan purchased his first shop in the village of Ballater and then in 1979 he purchased the Bridge Street premises, which had been a butcher's shop for over 120 years and is still going strong, selling a range of meats, poultry and game as well as deli products. HM Sheridan was granted the Royal Warrants of Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, Duke of Rothesay in 1987. Sadly, Michael passed away in 2006. He bequeathed the business to two of his long-term employees, John Sinclair and Barry Florence. They continue to provide a superb service to customers, markets, hotels and catering events within Aberdeenshire. They opened their second shop in Banchory in 2017.
