What a roller coaster this winter was for the Everything Electronic Youth Group. Start in hall, stop no power (Arwen), back in hall, on-line (Omicron), in hall, no power (Malik and Corrie). it could not have been more disrupti ve!

Despite everything some great news - their coders were yet again above average in the nati onwide Bebras Coding Challenge; Millie Pole was an Internati onal CoderDojo Champion for her age group; and her brother Harvey’s fi lm “Save the Mussels” won a third award as the overall winner of the “Climate Challenge : 1.5 Degree Films”. As Millie was the voice of “Mr. Mussel” she joined him for the fi lm award ceremony. (See cover photo.)

The other good news is we have our on-line Club up and running on Thursday nights for those who cannot get to us physically. It has a nickname - “The Thursday Night Pizza Club” as we bring the coding and they code while enjoying their tea-ti me pizzas!

Please help us buy equipment and provide workshops by choosing us as your Co-op charity.

We have members from Banchory to Alford, Aboyne to Logie. In Alford are our two remotest members, apart from one near Stonehaven, but we have been allocated as one of Alford’s Co-op Chariti es rather than Aboyne, where we have a lot more members. So we really need you to make a choice to support us by logging into your Coop account and following instructi ons so you can fi nd us on their system:

Log in to your Co-op account, choose the “Young People” opti on and fi nd us. If you cannot fi nd us using the “within 15 miles” opti on, please use this address h ps://membership. coop.co.uk/causes/58318

Torphins please note: your local Co-op is not part of the scheme. If you have a main Co-op account and shop in Aboyne for example, then this would apply.

Do you use Amazon? Another way you can help us is by choosing us as your AMAZON SMILE Charity. Every purchase you make will cost you nothing extra and will benefi t the club. Just visit : h ps://smile.amazon.co.uk and select Cromar Future Group as your preferred charity.
