Our 143-acre waterfront campus provides spectacular views of the Mount Hope Bay in Bristol, Rhode Island, where you experience all four seasons. All full-time undergraduate students will attend classes in Bristol. With a second urban campus in the capital city of Providence, RWU locations serve as strategic launchpads where you learn, live, and immerse yourself in the area’s boundless cultural offerings and natural beauty.

Bristol was ranked as the safest college town in the country by safewise.com and one of the top 25 Best Small Towns in America by ArchitecturalDigest.

REACH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL

PERSONALIZED AND OUTCOMES-FOCUSED GENERAL EDUCATION

At some colleges, a “Core” curriculum requires all students to take a pre-defined set of courses. Alternatively, in a General Education (GenEd) approach, specific themes are required but a wider variety of courses can meet the requirement. The new RWU GenEd program embraces this approach, giving you more choice in an open curriculum across all our schools of study. The six learning themes of our GenEd provide you with the top in-demand skills that will set you apart from employers across all industries.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF WITH RWU’S HONORS PROGRAM

The selective Honors Program is a unique academic and social community for qualifying students who love learning and want to take their academics to the next level.

T Develop knowledge that makes a difference.

Abigail Clermont ’19, M’20

Program Control Analyst in the NASA SCaN Program in Washington, D.C.

Abigail majored in Business Management and then received her MBA in RWU’s 4+1 program.

“The entire MBA program was awesome. All the professors were very helpful,” Clermont said.

“It definitely helped to take finance classes, accounting, and all the Excel analytics classes at RWU. Those prepared me for my job because I have to make sure things balance in accounting and finance.”

Elias Christo ’18, M’20

Designer at Hutker Architects, Inc. in Falmouth, MA

Elias majored in Architecture. “I underestimated how my professional network would expand from being a student. I was fortunate enough to have two internships with two different professors, as well as do freelance work for others. In the professional architecture community, Roger Williams has some serious name recognition and firms have always told me that they’ve had great experiences hiring and working with Roger Williams students and alumni.”

Tonya Harris ’02

Executive Director of the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence in Warwick, RI

Tonya majored in Criminal Justice at RWU. “Throughout my career I have always been involved in community public awareness matters and issues that affect our state and communities of color in particular. I knew that I wanted to continue on with community work. My experience at Roger Williams helped mold my path into where I am today.”

POWERFUL COMBINATION

Dominion Emmanuel ’23

Cultural Studies (major) + Legal Studies + Political Science (minors)

Dominion Emmanuel from Burlington, Mass., created his own powerful combinations while at RWU. Emmanuel studied Cultural Studies with a double minor in Legal Studies and Political Science. During his undergraduate experience, Emmanual was an Orientation Advisor, on the executive board of the Barbershop Club, a peer mentor, and president of Phi Alpha Delta, the pre-law fraternity. With these combined experiences, Emmanuel is now working as a Paralegal at Lichten & Liss-Riordan in Boston.

“My time at RWU was life-changing. People told me college would be the best four years of my life, and the four years I was there have lived up to that. The people I met, including faculty and staff, have been great.

I learned a lot.”

"RWU has empowered my journey through Psychology and Gender Studies, nurturing both academic exploration and personal growth."

RUSHA SOPARIWALA’S

POWERFUL COMBINATION

Brenna Krivoruk ’25

Psychology (major) + Gender and Sexuality Studies (minor)

POWERFUL COMBINATION

Adam Cavanaugh ’23

International Business + Management (majors)

Adam Cavanaugh from Milford, Mass. graduated with a double major in International Business and Management. Cavanaugh was Student Body Secretary, Voter Registration & Engagement Committee Co-Chair, a Faculty Senate Student Representative, and a part of the International Relations Organization. During his sophomore year, Cavanaugh landed an internship at the R.I. House Minority Leader’s Office and now works as a Community Director for Arizona State University.
