Welcome to issue sixteen
that no sooner than one issue of the Iingtseems magazine forward is done than I am writthe next one, there are so many exciting things happening that time appears to have speeded up…certainly no time for boredom. Despite the strange weather patterns here we are still managing to cram a great deal of fun and adventure into our life (see my blog on Avalon invaded by the swedes)The very first oversea’s visitors to the Mystik Way headquarters. The magazine is going from strength to strength with many new features and writers plus a rapidly expanding readership. Many new projects to come when we can find time between parties/rituals and magical mystery tours (It’s the journey not the destination) We would also love to hear more from our readers, what would they like to see more of article wise, their real life experiences, be brave and email me, after all the magazine is about people for the people. Mystik Way – The Way Ahead By Richard Hayes (Warlockway)
The
Mystik Way magazine was started eighteen months ago as a natural development of the spiritual links being made on Facebook. It was the brainchild of Ed (The Mystik Master) and he continues to be the vital force, which initiates each edition. As Editor, he gives up his time freely, as do the contributors to the magazine, and he is assisted by Simone Schreck in New Zealand, who freely puts in considerable time and effort each month to compile the magazine, ready for distribution on the internet. From its simple beginnings, the magazine has now become a global phenomenon, and last month was read by fourteen thousand readers! This success is a direct reflection of the many informative and interesting articles that you have written.
A few meetings ago, I was put in charge of the Mystik Way finances, and I have set up a bank and Paypal account in the name of the Mystik Way. It is my aim to try to generate income, to eventually off-set out of pocket expenses encountered by Ed and Simone, and to support future investment in new ideas. As part of the Mission Statement of Mystik Way and its spiritual goals, the magazine will always be free to its readers. Unfortunately nothing is really free, and although printing and distribution costs are avoided by being online, where you can read the magazine or download it at your will, there are website and internet costs which have to be paid for.

Avalon invaded by the Swede’s July the 7th 2012 Message on face book, we arrive in England Sunday early morning….Linn. The first oversea’s visitor to the Mystik Way Base camp is on the way….from that moment onwards it became a vibrant….fun filled….Magikal Mystery Tour for a whole three days….with some intrigue and conspiracy theory thrown in.
feast of Indian food and an early nite as we were heading to Glastonbury first thing in the morning, via Stonehenge of course. Now the real fun began, we had set our alarms for 6.30 am but was woken at 5.30 am as they were on european time and one hour difference to mine, so sleepily I rushed to get ready and we departed with me still half in a dreamy stupor. That proved hilarious
Sunday 7.30 am Email received to say this is my mobile number….call we are in Margate having come through the channel tunnel…(I had previously given her my address and post code) we will be with you soon, signed Linn. Well three hours went past and no sign of them, then a text message asking is Portsmouth near Canterbury ?...from that moment I just knew this was going to be one strange weekend! They had gone completely the opposite way and were now 150 miles further away than when they first started… To cut a long story short, after several phone calls with directions they eventually arrive here. An evening of good conversation and food then followed and after many coincidences/synchronicities retired very late. Having arranged to meet a friend and a quick trip to a beautiful favourite spot of mine in the English country side, we set off resonably early....then the first strange event triggered how the rest of the day would go.... Linn’s car of course was left hand drive and as you all probably know we are right hand drive here so there I am a passenger but sitting where the driver should normally be....a most weird feeling which seemed to confuse my brain (even more than is usual ) as I kept getting the feeling to change gear etc....Weird indeed.

Into the Future
of these seemingly magnetic places?
In the first part of this series, I proposed a personal approach to the concept of ‘magnetism’, in which we can attract the right people and things to us at the right times. In the second part I demonstrated examples from this from my own journey. To round of the series, I want to explore the role of magnetism in the wider world, in the future, and in The Mystik Way itself. It could explain why you are reading this very article right now.
Extending the magnetism theory from earlier parts, it seems that people who are sending out particular signals, having attuned their magnetism to particular frequencies, are the ones founding, visiting and sustaining these places. And it is the Earth itself which is drawing them to these specific locations.
Magnetic Earth We are all drawn to particular places; some are for personal reasons, while others seem to attract a great many people of the same ‘type’. If we take spirituality, we can see the kind of culture that has built up in places like Glastonbury in England, and across the world, as highlighted in James Redfield’s The Twelfth Insight, Sedona in Arizona. I have visualised this idea in meditations, and see the Earth as not only having a physical core, but a spiritual one. Similar to the way in which the physical Earth has faultlines and places where lava flows up and close to the surface, I believe the spiritual energy of the planet does the same. Anyone who has sat in a particularly powerful place will probably recognise the sensation of energy just beneath the surface, leaking into the material world and into our bodies. These are magnetic points in themselves, exerting a pull on people whose personal magnetism is coming into alignment with them. Theories of ley lines and Earth chakra points correspond to this vision. The physical beauty of these places, as well as manmade markers, both ancient and modern, are signs to me that the spiritual energy of the Earth, which manifests in beauty, are present as visual beacons, perhaps from days before maps and satnavs, when Mother Nature made use of other methods to guide us! This is where the internet comes in, and we bring the story of spirituality firmly into the 21st century.

It is the magnetic quality of the people involved that fills the name Mystik Way with its unique and positive qualities.

I am a Spiritualist Medium and Officiant. Early this year I decided to experiment each morning by tuning in to the world of spirit to see if anyone wished to communicate with me. Having been given a title, I allow my mind to be guided, and write down the thoughts dictated to me. he Wheel is turning yet again, and August 1st marks Lughnassadh. This holiday is also known as Llamas, August Eve, and the Feast of Bread. It is a time to celebrate our gifts and look forward to the long hard days of winter.

Jackals - like wolves, coyotes, and dogs - are family oriented, loyal, and live together in packs. Mated pairs choose monogamous relationships and are very territorial in general, as are most other canids. More like the coyote, jackals are not necessarily the best hunters and are content to be scavengers, feeding on the leftovers of kills made by other animals. The appearance of the Jackal can indicate a strong desire to find a soul mate and/or to live within a tight-knit family unit. The jackal’s reputation for scavenging also indicates a pattern in life that shows resourcefulness. People working with a jackal totem are very aware of their surroundings and are exceedingly resourceful and more than able to survive. resistance to meet their needs. Meditate on the jackal as you journey through the month. Consider the paths that lay waiting before you. Which one are you and the jackal inclined to take...?

August Plant of the Month Goldenrod
wildflower that one can find readily in bloom during the month of August and well into the autumn season is the resilient goldenrod… and this flower does well to symbolize Lammas (Lughnasadh), the first harvest holiday. In fact, one of the last big flower-shows each year is provided by goldenrod species. They are all perennials with large clusters of small yellow flowers that appear from the end of summer until frost. The leaves of goldenrods are simple, lance or egg shaped and usually have a toothed margin. Most species propagate by a spreading root system in addition to seed and they can be a troublesome addition to a wildflower garden for that reason. They become more common in pastures under heavy grazing pressure and so are often used as an indicator species by range managers.
Goldenrod actually belongs to the sunflower family.
The Chippewa Indians called it “gizisomukiki” meaning “sun medicine”. The plant has been used medicinally, for a number of ailments. Brews of goldenrod were popular and witches were said to have used goldenrod in potions. In Europe, the leaves were sometimes concocted into what was called Blue Mountain wine. Teas were brewed in both Europe and in North America, particularly by the indigenous. Medicinal extracts and tea leaves made from the aromatic American species as fragrant goldenrod S. odora were exported in the 19th Century to China, where they commanded high prices. The flowers of various species of goldenrods have been used to make yellow dyes for cloth. Nowadays, it is used as beautiful, decorative flower.

Helpful herbs include blackberry root or leaf (root is preferred for its greater astringency: simmer root for 20-40 minutes or steep leaf for tea for 10-30 minutes). Similarly, use wild strawberry root or leaf. Raspberry leaf provides a very mild remedy for diarrhea. Blackberry and strawberry root and leaf will also reduce internal hemorrhaging. (1) Sunburn: Spray pure Lavender Mist – Hydrosol directly onto the skin or add 8 drops of lavender oil and 4 drops of peppermint oil to a teaspoon of jojoba oil. By Muscular Aches and Pains: Japanese mint oil and witch hazel tinctures in combination or combined with essential oils of camphor or eucalyptus, are all excellent choices. A combination of Epsom salts and a few drops of lavender oil added to bath water should relieve muscular tension in the body. (3) Japanese mint oil is useful for rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis when applied directly to the area: i.e. knee, hands and elbows. Meadowsweet tea works well in the treatment of arthritis pain and inflammation. It is strongly advised that children should not drink the tea and people that cannot take aspirin, as meadowsweet is one of the ingredients in aspirin. A few drops of meadowsweet oil under the tongue are yet another way to administer this herb. Bleeding and Bruising: Cayenne is a proven styptic and can be used in capsule form to apply to bleeding. Styptic: causing contraction of the blood vessels and thereby stopping bleeding. (4) Open and apply externally to stop bleeding. (It may burn, but it works). It will also warm cold feet, sprinkled inside your boots. Alternative styptics: comfrey and yarrow. I think of bruising as wounds where the skin is unbroken, often accompanied by discoloration. Useful herbs, applied topically in tincture form are prickly ash bark, cayenne, comfrey and arnica.

Excerpt from Crossbow Isle - Y Ddraig Goch Part 1 Y Ddraig Goch’s birth on “Midsummer solstice” …The moon shone brightly over the glade and the elves began to sing one of their ancient songs with words that no one understood. Then suddenly, a thundering sound as if from a huge drum echoed from the eastern side through the vale. Astounded they looked around, but nothing could be seen. Then a few heartbeats later, as if it were an answer to the first sound, a deep drum roll came from the western side of the vale. It was as loud and deep as thunder over the sea, but it clearly was not of natural origin. Shocked to their bones and with pounding hearts, Enyana, Zaron, and Deirdre looked around but there was still nothing to be seen. As Enyana wanted to ask the monks if they knew what had to be done to protect the little dragon, they beheld only happily smiling faces, but got no answer at all. 25
Another drum roll from the east made the ground vibrate and their bodies tremble, and answers to the cascade of rapid beats came now from all around and seemingly from high above. Their hearts pounded and their bodies trembled under the deep rolling echoes that filled the vale. The eerie silence that followed raised the tension to the unbearable. Then, a gigantic flash of piercingly bright light lit the vale for the blink of an eye, followed by the mighty sound of an explosion and wild drum rolls filled the vale with ear deafening loudness. All, except for the two monks were well shaken up. Something like that they never had heard. Now the rolling thunder of drums began to rotate around the vale. The eastern drum began, and within heartbeats, it was followed by the southern, the western, and the northern, ere it returned to the eastern drum. That swirling thunder around the vale lasted for many moments until it ceased at the moment as huge plumes of red, and golden light high above each direction of the wind rose brightened the entire vale. Now they saw it. Indeed, immensely large drums floated high above the vale in all four directions and in between every one of the gigantic drums, a long stretch of smaller drums, and something that looked like humongous saucepans floated high up in the sky. The light from the fireworks high in the sky dimmed slowly and the drums began to hammer a staccato of beats that seemed to bounce from one drum to the other. The cascades of smaller drums had a higher pitch and answered to the deep and resonating sounds of the huge drums. It was as if they had some sort of conversation where one drum was answering the other. As Enyana had seen the relaxed and happy faces of Lu-Dongbin and Cao-Guojiu, she knew that they had nothing to fear and she was very curious about what else would happen next. As darkness had again sunken over the vale, another sound pierced their ears. It was a shattering sound as if huge metal objects were beaten with gigantic clappers, which immediately was followed by bright flashes of light, explosions and a staccato of earthshaking drumbeats. That continued for nearly five minutes and Enyana’s mind slipped into the eggshell of the young dragon. 26 | MYSTIK WAY MAGAZINE
However, it seemed that those sounds had even spurred the little creature and it worked hard to make his way out. As her mind returned, she saw dozen’s of streaks of bright blue light coming from all around the vale and they joined just above the hillock to explode with ear deafening thunder into a shower of golden glittering light, accompanied by smaller crackling explosions. Small plumes of red and gold appeared above the drums and in rapid sequence all around the vale, the drums and the other instruments broke into a crescendo of noise and high above the vale, lit from the firework beneath, they harkened a queerly singing and buzzing sound and beheld humongous large figures with huge wings which circled now high above the vale and suddenly, the air was filled with a fierce cascade of sharply and ear piercing sounds, which mingled with the echoes of the explosions. Four colossal explosions of whitish-blue light, high above those elusive figures in the sky showed the silhouettes of gigantic flying beings with singing wings that slowly descended and with a last outburst of drum rolls, clashes and light, those beings landed around the hillock. A wide ring of high flaming red and golden fires lit up behind those figures as they slowly closed in on the hillock, it showed the impressive silhouettes of beings that most of them had never seen. Enyana counted quickly and as she had expected, there were nine of those huge beings approaching. The two monks got up, walked to the eastern slope of the hillock, and bowed very low. Now Enyana knew what was coming their way, and she connected to her Seanmhair, asking to come hither immediately. The blink of an eye later, Morgan appeared with worried face beside her granddaughter. Enyana looked at her, “Seanmhair, don’t be afraid, but I wanted you to be here, as such a fortunate event, we never will witness again”. Morgan looked puzzled around and beheld the huge figures in the dim light of the unceasing fireworks around the hillock, which slowly closed in.
