Academy students start their Spring Break by helping out
The first Monday of spring break started out at the same time as any other school day. 9 Academy students and teachers traveled an hour and half to Engelwood to help paint the “great room at the Crestwood Manor convelescent home. The crew moved the furniture taped off the window and turned the room a little brighter, from pink to white. The students were fed and thanked and most of them made it home before dark and ready to start their Spring Break.

Alumni Update
Class of 1997 - Reunites and roasts Mr. Naylor The commercial art class of 1997 recently reunited for a one of a kind evening spent with old friends and their teacher. This class was one of the most successful classes in history boasting of many SkillsUSA champions including the two time state championship OCC team which were represented by six of the seven members. Members of this group traveled from as far
away as California and Virginia to be in attendance. All of the former students spoke well of the program and what a tremendous impact it had on their lives. Then came the roast of Mr. Naylor where each student took their turns at the old teacher. True confessions, returned classroom equipment and a lot of memories and thank yous came from the roasters. The
poster that was signed by the class is now framed and hangs on the wall in the classroom. Finally, yes this is Mr. Bayonet’s graduating class.
