Education Willis Towers Watson Gives New Classrooms
The day began with the blessing of the 3-classroom building, followed by the turn-over ceremony, where the school heads and authorities from the local government took turns delivering their messages. Ms. Mariquit Sison, Human Resources Head of Willis Towers Watson, and Mr. Jun Godornes, Resource Development Director of World Vision, also gave their words of support, encouragement, and gratitude. A turning over of the symbolic key, followed by the ribbon cutting and reveal of the building marker, capped the memorable event. Afterwards, everyone feasted on delicious food and delicacies bountifully prepared by the community.
The smiles of the children shone as bright as the sun on February 13 as World Vision and Willis Towers Watson visited Manlagtang Elementary School in the District of Tabogon, Cebu, for the inauguration and official turn-over of a new 3-classroom building. This proposal was an initiative of the school authorities to address the students’ growing population and the poor conditions of the current classrooms. Willis Towers Watson answered the call, and by the generosity of their employees and leadership team, the students and teachers of Manlagtang ES are now able to enjoy roomy, well-lit, and well-ventilated spaces that are more conducive to learning and teaching.
