he new design of the hotel inspires the guests to spend their time deliberately. The hotel’s new philosophy “Time is life, live it now!” becomes an integral part of the new interior design concept: the rooms can be organized with different living atmospheres, where you can spend time on your own, just with your partner or together as a family. “My time – Kids time – Couple’s time – Family time”. A high degree of flexibility forms the basis of the overall design. Each room has special features that are designed specifically for children. The entire space can be converted with a few simple manual moves in various spheres. The flexible elements, removable, collapsible, or extensible create various living situations within a space that can respond to various requirements of the guests in the shortest time. Whether time you spend, alone, with your beloved or as a family, the room adapts to its users and creates a particular value of coexistence. The design responds with clean lines, neutral colours and soft tones combined with locally sourced high quality materials. Classical elements such as ornaments and cornices respond to the history of the Grand hotel, while creating a harmonious and elegant sense of space... Instead of kitsch and silly decoration, you will discover individually bespoke objects like mouse hooks, reminding that this is place designed for children.

NOA* (NETWORK OF ARCHITECTURE) noa* is an architecture & design studio established by Lukas Rungger and Stefan Rier. Lukas and Stefan met while working as project architects with the renowned architect and designer Matteo Thun in Milan, being responsible for a series of challenging projects in the field of tourism, modern living and contemporary workplaces. Their current projects include a new concept store in Bejing (China) for sports-brand Chervo, a new masterplan for the seaside resort of Grado (Venice), the restyling of fine-dining venture “Sassegg�, the new 4 star Panorama Hotel in Kaltern/Caldaro, a series of 4 and 5* hotel extensions predominantly located in the alpine region of Italy, and new high-end appartments in the famous Gardena Valley in Southtyrol (Italy).

Under the clouds of a Dutch rainy day, I walked through an autumn forest, Whistling a song in remembrance of summer. I was bored with the absence of color. A grey foggy day can be a curtain blinding our hungry eyes. Excited, knowing all the beauty and richness of the invisible colors behind the mist. I could sense the autumn colors and in my imagination they were whispering my name “... Marcel...Marcel...Marcel Wanders...!” With a sharp long vigilant sword I sliced through the mist. Thousands of long misty ribbons were opening up And a wonderful palette of autumn beauty unfolded and revealed itself through the void. In the depth of this visual stereo spectacle I discover new joy, a new world, a world of complexity. The joining of two parallel universes.
Seen in this project Join by Anker Carpets Design: Marcel Wanders Marcel Wanders and ANKER-TEPPICHBODEN joined forces and succeeded in developing an unusual carpet collection for the commercial property segment. Carpet as an instrument of poetic presentation for rooms. A symbiosis of technical perfection and creative extravagance. That’s what Join is all about. A new ANKER technology (called CL+) enables this enriching additive in the landscape of structural textile surface. Environmental protection and careful use of natural resources were essential guidelines in the production process; the carpets in the Join Collection are completely produced from the recycled yarn Econyl.
