noa* is the essential expression of a collaborative work-ethos: the young team of architects & designers, led by founders Lukas Rungger and Stefan Rier and based in Bolzano (Italy) and since April 2018 also in Berlin (Germany), explores and examines interdisciplinary methods of design, continuously evolving depending on both nature and requirements of each project. By
following the concept of "emergence", where the whole is perceived as being far greater than the sum of its parts, a holistic approach and strategy is central to noa*s way of conceiving design.
Lukas Rungger와 Stefan Rier가 설립한 noa* network of architecture는 이탈리아와 독일에 기반을 둔 젊은 건축 디자인 스튜디오다. 밀라노의 유명 건축가이자 디자이너 Matteo Thun과의 프로젝트에서 처음 만난 두 사람은 10년간의 현장 경험을 바탕으로 자신들의 스튜디오를 오픈했다. 뉴욕, 런던, 베를린, 밀라노 등 여러 나라를 거치며 다양한 문화와 사회를 바라보는 통찰력을 얻었으며, 이는 디자인의 중요한 영양분이 되었다. 스 튜디오는 자연과 주위 환경에 맞춰 지속적으로 진화하는 디자인을 보여주기 위해 여러 학문과 방식을 탐색하고 연구한다. 프로젝트 전체를 아우르 는 광범위한 접근 방식은 noa*의 핵심 전략이다.

Not far from the famous Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof), the Altstadthotel has always been a popular destination for famous travellers and
historical celebrities, among them Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who stayed there as a 13-year-old in 1769. The building is narrow and elongated towards the rear, its front-facing arcade blends perfectly with the historical fabric of the city. During the redesign, a loft level
was added to the existing six storeys, which have been extended with delicacy and professional finesse, while respecting the conservation rules. The new loft is meticulously choreographed: on the one hand, it remains alive to the neighbourhood and cityscape by retaining its
original slope towards the street-facing front elevation, but at the rear it rises in height and opens up through six glass cubes offering wonderful views over the city skyline. From here, guests can enjoy a unique panorama, taking in the Pulverturm, ski jump and Nordkette.

오스트리아 인스브루크 중심가에 새로운 모습으
로 탄생한 Weisses Kreuz. 1460년대 만들어진 건 물은 역사적 흐름과 광범위한 건축적 요소들로 인
해 끊임없는 변형을 겪어왔다. 시대의 뚜렷한 특징 은 시간을 초월하여 하나의 건물에 공존하고 있었 고, 수세기에 걸쳐 변화된 모습은 noa*에게 매력
적이면서도 도전적인 과제로 다가왔다. 모차르트 를 비롯한 유명 인사들과 여행자들에게 사랑받는 장소였던 호텔은 도시 전면의 아케이드가 역사적 인 건축물과 완벽하게 어우러져 있다. 재설계 과정
에서 기존 6개 층에 다락방이 추가되었으며, 옛 건 물을 보존하기 위해 섬세하고 전문적인 기교로 증
축했다. 정면으로는 도시의 경관을, 경사를 따라 뒤편으로 올라가면 스카이라인과 Nordkette 산맥 이 어우러지는 독특한 파노라마를 감상할 수 있다.

The new rooms and suites – or "chambers", as the owners affectionately call them – are located on the floors below. Despite the architectural irregularity of these existing floors, with their gothic ceilings,
arches and var ying room heights, noa* has succeeded in bringing some kind of calm to the
madness. The guest rooms facing the street allow you to engage in the hustle and bustle of Innsbruck's old town just by looking out of the window, while
those facing the inner courtyard delight with an internal patio or balcony creating a secluded idyll.

실 등 기존 건축이 가지고 있는 불규칙한 요소에도

The rooms themselves have consistent colour codes. Each is immersed in a monochrome colour and becomes the setting for the
baroque elements. Colour is part of the journey
through time that the guest embarks on. Each hue gives an indication of the configuration of
the respective room. When compared to the light blue rooms, the red rooms are slightly more spacious, the dark blue rooms have a
balcony, and the green rooms have a terrace
overlooking the courtyard, while the grey
rooms are all twin-bedded. All the furnishings are in keeping with the colour: from carpet and tiles to wall colour, curtains and furniture.
