INTERVENTO FIRMATO STUDIO NOA* PER L'AMPLIAMENTO DI UN RIFUGIO ALPINO Lo studio bolzanino noa* si è recentemente aggiudicato l'AHEAD (Awards for Hospitality, Experience and Design) per la categoria “Guestrooms” grazie all'interessante progetto per il recupero e l’ampliamento della Berghaus Zallinger, nel comprensorio dell’Alpe di Siusi (Bolzano). L’intervento, portato a termine nel 2017, rappresenta un caso esemplare di recupero storico e paesaggistico di
un rifugio di alta montagna, realizzato creando nuovi spazi senza alterare i volumi esistenti. Il restyling è stata inoltre l’occasione per far rivivere l’assetto originario, procedendo - oltre che alla ristrutturazione del corpo centrale dell’albergo - all’abbattimento dell’ex fienile e alla costruzione di 7 nuovi chalet da 4 camere ciascuno. Anche nel disegno delle nuove strutture - realizzate con moduli prefabbricati di
legno - noa* ha voluto recuperare in chiave moderna le forme tradizionali degli alpeggi altoatesini, unendo qualità del design, comfort e sostenibilità. In particolare, ispirandosi alla struttura degli antichi fienili, il rivestimento esterno degli chalet è realizzato con blocchi di legno massello appoggiati l’uno all’altro in un’alternanza di pieni e vuoti che diventa il motivo dominante del nuovo insediamento. NOA* ENLARGES AN ALPINE LODGE Noa*, a Bolzano design firm, recently won an AHEAD (Awards for Hospitality, Experience and Design) for the “Guestrooms” category thanks to its interesting design for enlarging the Berghaus Zallinger in the Siusi Alps area (Bolzano). The work, completed in 2017, was an exemplary job of recouping the history and landscape of an alpine lodge, creating new spaces without changing the existent volumes.

The restyling was also the occasion for restoring the original order of the site, restructuring the main part of the lodge, demolishing the former barn and building 7 new chalets with 4 rooms each. Even in designing the new facilities built with prefabricated wooden modules - noa* desired to recuperate in a contemporary key the traditional forms of local building, combining fine design with comfort and sustainability.
In particular, taking inspiration from old barns, the facades of the chalets are in solid wooden blocks resting on one another in an alternation of open and closed that becomes the dominant motif of the new resort.
