This book was created by Grade 1 students at Nagoya International School as a fundraising project. During a Unit of Inquiry, a student read about horseshoe crabs and found out that they are endangered. He came up with the idea to help the crabs by raising money through the sale of a book. The proceeds from the sale of this book went to an organization that works to preserve Tri-spine Horseshoe Crab habitat. Students researched endangered animals and plants and wrote about their roles in the ecosystems where they are endangered.
