TheCruiseshipwithacarryingcapacityof2 260 passengers, is currently on a 62-day world tour cruise, one-way from Triesto to Rio de Janeiro. The schedule started on 6 January and ends on 9 March. Costa DeliziosadepartedfromtheWalvisBayPort onthesamedayofitsarrivalandiscurrently sailing to its next port of call, Saint Helena, Jamestown.Namport'sExecutive:Commercial Services, Elias Mwenyo said, “passenger vessels bring holiday makers to the harbour towns who contribute significantlytothelocaltourismindustryby spending money at local shops, making use ofthepublictransportsystem,goingonday excursions as well as purchasing souvenir items from vendors who specialise in local artsandcrafts.”

NinepassengerlinerswillvisittheWalvisBay portinMarch.Passengerliner,MSC Sinfonia, sailingundertheflagofPanamadockedatthe Port of Walvis Bay on 1 March, followed by AidaAura, sailing under the flag of Italy on 2 MarchonavoyagefromPortElizabeth,South Africa. The cruise ship Azamara Journey, sailingundertheflagof Maltawilldockatthe Walvis Bay Port on 6 March. Three passenger liners are expected in the harbour on 8 March, Artania and Seven Seas Mariner, both sailing under the flag of Bahamas, and the MSC Sinfonia will dock for the second time this monthonthesameday On9Marchpassenger linerAidaAurawillvisitforthesecondtimethis month Passenger liners Zaandam and Zuiderdam, both sailing under the flag of the Netherlands, will dock at the Walvis Bay Port
