Once upon a time there were five friends; their names were JOE,IRIS, GIUSEPPE,COSMINA AND OLGA. JOE was from the Czech Republic, IRIS was from Greece , GIUSEPPE was from Italy , Cosmina was from Romania and OLGA was from Serbia. They never left each other. They were all committed to finding a way to save our world. “There must be a way! There must be a magical solution that will help save the world from poverty, hunger, inequality, injustice, climate change, deforestation, water scarcity and all those problems our world is facing” they were thinking.
“What is that in the river ? A bottle? Wait a minute! There is something inside it!” She picked up the bottle and read the message
“You brave one. You who managed to find this message. To you and the ones who stand on your side I grant the power to save the world. How? Well, that’s up to you, make a choice and follow through. Good luck with that.” The message was poorly translated from an ancient language that she managed to comprehend, there were some strange symbols all around the text, the same cryptic shapes that were found on the top of the nearby temple. This meant one thing and one thing only: a rush to the temple.
Once arrived, the improbable crew entered the building and was greeted by the blind priest of mother earth, who was waiting on them with a hopeful expression. he knew that they were the choosen ones. Then he started speaking: “Greetings young ones, I’m jello, and i’ll guide you through the journey of avoiding a mass extinction. I’m sure you’re aware of what is going on earth. We’ll have to use every card we have to stop those who seek to profit off of everyone’s back”.
"Now come with me. I must show you something, that could help you with your quest." spoken priest. "Should we trust her? We don't even know her" sayed Iris. "Our goal was always to save our planet and this priest seems that he have something what could potentially help us." replied Cosmina. GIUSEPPE and JOE went to secretly examine this area in this time. They got closer to the symbols and for they surprise it start glowing. Light from symbols attracted attention of everyone. When Olga came closer another symbol started to glow. Priest said "I feEl that energy, I knew that you are chosen ones". Shocked Olga asked "What do you mean by chosen ones?"
"ancient prophecies speak of a group represented by these symbols that will save the earth from pollution, poverty, hunger, inequality, injustice, climate change. Follow me I will guide you deeper in the temple I must show you something, but be careful". The door opens behind the symbols when the priest puts his hand in the middle. A giant corridor full of various statues appeared.
Seventeen statues as well as seventeen goals. ''Come with me, we'll be there in a minute,'' the priest says. ''And where are we going?'' COSMINA asked. ''Where are we going, is it safe?'' IRIS asks, frightened. ''You don't have to worry, I'm sure it'll be fine. The priest is wise, Me and Giuseppe are close to you.'' fearlessly says JOE. ''We will protect you.'' GIUSEPPE added. They walked down a dark corridor until they came across a room they were entering.
Everyone opened their mouths in surprise. A strange circular room with a pillar in the middle, was a thing they had never seen before. There were amulets of the balance of the planet Earth. There were four, so each took one, each amulet had a symbol according to which they entered the temple. Red protects the Earth from poverty and hunger, blue from pollution, green from climate change and yellow from inequality and injustice. JOE took blue, GIUSEPPE yellow, IRIS green and COSMINA red. The priest called them to him and began to warn them.
“Listen to me, children! All power will be in your hands. You will be the heroes who will save the planet! However, these amulets are very powerful, but also very dangerous. When used incorrectly, they can make the whole world feel worse. There are 17 goals, which is why you have to complete 17 important missions. Tasks are divided according to the amulet you own. Each of you must complete all the tasks that characterize the amulet. After each successful stage, a statue in the corridor will shine. Do you have any questions?”. "I have one," said Giuseppe, confused. "Will a single finished case solve the whole problem on earth?".
"The prophecy says that if all the tasks are completed properly, the world will be protected from now on." One more question, please, said Iris: "What will happen to this temple after we succeed?". "All in due time," the priest added. "Until then, get to work!" Each child cared about his or her goals without wasting time. Cosmina took care of the poor and hungry families. Joe made sure that the planet was no longer a polluted place, and Giuseppe solved the case of inequality and injustice. Everything went according to plan, until something terrible happened to solve the 13th task, which Iris had to take care of.
Her mission was to decrease those human actions, such as industrial activities that involve the release of harmful gases, which damage the climate and the environment. just when all the man-made environmental disasters are being resolved, a not insignificant obstacle stands in the way of the guys’ will to lead the earth to salvation. He is a strong political personality who does not want to give up his sources of income.
THE GUYS WERE REJECTED BECAUSE THEY WERE ONE STEP AWAY FROM ACHIEVING THEIR GOAL AND DIDN’T IMAGINE SUCH A GREAT OBSTACLE AT THE VERY END OF THEIR TIRING WORK. THEY DIDN’T BELIEVE THAT A MAN WAS CAPABLE OF SUCH A DESPICABLE AND SELFISH GESTURE NOT ONLY TOWARDS THE GUYS, BUT TOWARDS THE WHOLE WORLD POPULATION. THEY WERE ON THE VERGE OF GIVING UP WHEN AN UNEXPECTED EVENT HAPPENED...
That man had a son; his name was Vincent and he has never agreed with his father's work. He started traveling at the age of 17 and in an unfortunate accident due to the pollution of the air, the pilot of the plane he was on lost control and crashed on a mountain in New Zealand. After this accident this old man decided to change his behavior and help Iris and her friends in the mission to save the world.
Vincent knew that the climate is changing and that it impacts the most vulnerable people and species first. He knew he had to find effective solutions to help the kids save the planet. He decided to mention some alternative sources of energy to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. He told them to use public transport and carpool. He told them that small changes start at home and then in the community. The 5 kids were so motivated by what he said. They quickly started raising awareness by organising campaigns at their school .
THEY knew that their generation is responsible to stop climate change. So all their school community joined environmental organisations, they started going to school by bike , making less waste and recycling. Making school projects about climate change. The 5 kids knew that all of them should act quickly before it is too late to combat the world’s problems. THE END
