These Residences’ architectural designs were also influenced by HIS visit to France, seeing the Chenonceau Castle that was connected by a bridge crossing over the Cher River. Chaleemongkolasana Residence was built as a little castle in Renaissance-French style combined with Half Timbered British style, which adapted to the weather of Thailand. This building is a radish yellow 2-storey building, decorated with beautiful stuccos and outstanding round column, which looks like a towering castle. This seems strong like Emile’s characteristic, in contrast with the wood decoration reflecting Marie’s. Maleeracharattanabanlang Residence represents the red throne of Malee or Marie. It is a 2-storey red-colored teak wood

Inspired by King Mongkut’s (King Rama VI) impressions of a chateau in the novel “My Friend Jarlet” of Arnold Goldsworthy and E.B.Norman, French authors, a little charming palace in French-style has been constructed in Thailand in the year 1907 and was named “Sanam Chan Palace”. My Friend Jarlet talks about Emile Jarlet during the war, where Emile sacrificed hislife to save his closest friend Paul, who also joined the war and was the lover of Marie Leroux, Jarlet’s daughter. The story represents love between friends, father and daughter, and great sacrifices. King Rama VI fell so in love with this novel, which HE then adapted and translated in Thai language entitled “Mit-Tare” or the “Best Friend”. King Rama VI ordered M.C. Ittithepsan Klidakorn to design this palace from a novel to the real world where Chaleemon-

‫‪// TRAVEL MANIA: THE BELOVED SANAM CHAN PALACE‬‬ ‫مســتوىح مــن إهلامــات شــاتو لمللــك مــوجن‬ ‫كوتــس (امللــك رامــا الرابــع) يف روايــة "صديــى‬ ‫جارلــت" ل أرنولــد جولــدز وريث و إي يب‬ ‫نورمــان ‪،‬مؤلفــن فرنســن‪ ،‬وقــد مت بنــاء هــذا‬ ‫القــر الصغــر الســاحر عــى المنــط الفرنــي‬ ‫يف تايالنــد عــام ‪ 1907‬و مســى " قــر ســانام‬ ‫تشــان "‪.‬‬ ‫صديــى جارلــت تتحــدث عــن اميــل جارلــت‬ ‫أثنــاء احلــرب‪ ،‬حيــث حضــى اميــل حبياتــه النقــاذ‬ ‫صديقــه املقــرب بــول‪ ،‬الــذي انضــم أيضــا للحــرب‪،‬‬ ‫واكن حمبــا ل مــاري لريوكــس‪ ،‬ابنــة جارلــت‪ .‬متثل‬ ‫الروايــة قصــة حــب بــن األصدقــاء‪ ،‬والــد وابنتــه‪،‬‬ ‫وتضحيــات كبــرة‪ .‬وقــع امللــك رامــا الســادس ىف‬ ‫حــب هــذه الروايــة‪ ،‬الــي تبناهــا مســوه و ترمجــت‬ ‫للغــة التايالنديــة بعنــوان "مت‪-‬تــاري" أو "أفضــل‬ ‫صديــق"‪.‬‬ ‫أمــر امللــك رامــا الســادس (‪M.C.‬‬ ‫‪ )Ittithepsan Klidakorn‬بتصمــم هــذا‬ ‫القــر مــن روايــة إىل عــامل حقيــي حيــث‬ ‫إقامــة ‪ Chaleemongkolasana‬و إقامــة‬ ‫‪ Maleeracharattanabanlang‬جيــب الوصــل‬ ‫بيهنــا مــن خــال جــر خشــي ميثــل الرابطــة‬

‫تأثــرت التصامــم املعامريــة هلــذه اإلقامــات أيضــا‬ ‫بزيارتــه إىل فرنســا‪ ،‬ورؤيــة قلعــة شينونســو الــى‬ ‫اكنــت متصلــة جبــر ميــر فــوق هنــر شــر‪.‬‬ ‫بنيــت إقامــة ‪ Chaleemongkolasana‬مثــل قلعــة‬ ‫صغــرة عــى منــط عــر الهنضــة الفرنســية‬ ‫جنبــا إىل جنــب مــع المنــط الربيطــاين اخلشــي‪،‬‬ ‫والــي تتكيــف مــع طقــس تايالنــد‪ .‬هــذا املبــى‬ ‫مائــل اىل األصفــر احملمــر و يتكــون مــن طابقــن‪،‬‬ ‫ومزيــن مبعجــون مجيــل وأمعــدة مســتديرة بــارزة‪،‬‬ ‫هــذا املبــي يبــدو وكأنــه بــرج القلعــة‪ .‬يبــدو ذلــك‬ ‫ً‬ ‫قويــأ يف التناقــض مــع زخرفــة اخلشــب الــذى‬ ‫يعكــس مســة "جارلــت"‪.‬‬

‫وحييــط باجلــو اهلــادئ والسلمي لقــر ســانام‬ ‫تشــان أجشــار كبــرة تنــر فروعهــا ممــا يعــى‬ ‫ظــل لســاحة العشــب األخــر و جيعلهــا أفضــل‬ ‫ملامرســة رياضــة العــدو أو املــي أثنــاء وقــت‬ ‫غــروب المشــس‪ .‬يف الوقــت احلــارض‪ ،‬هــذا‬ ‫القــر مفتــوح للجمهــور‪ ،‬مكــا أصبــح متحفــا‬ ‫لعــرض قصــة امللــك رامــا الســادس والروايــات‬ ‫احملبوبــة‪.‬‬

‫إذا أردنــا احلديــث عــن اللوحــة األكــر شــعبية‬ ‫يف العــامل‪ ،‬امجليــع يعــرف صــورة الســيدة الــى‬ ‫لدهيــا ابتســامة صغــرة عــى وجههــا ل ليونــاردو‬ ‫دافنــي‪ ،‬والــي دامئــا مــا يتطلــع الكثــر مــن‬ ‫الســياح إىل رؤيهتــا ولــو لفــرة قليلــة جــدًا مــن‬ ‫الزمــن بســبب الطابــور الطويــل جــدًا أمــام متحــف‬ ‫اللوفــر‪ ،‬باريــس فرنســا‪.‬‬ ‫يف تايالنــد‪ ،‬أفضــل لوحــة يف نــان ‪ -‬مقاطعــة‬ ‫صغــرة يف مشــال تايالنــد‪ ،‬غنيــة بالثقافــة‬ ‫التايالنديــة والكنــوز‪ .‬هــذه اللوحــة توجــد يف‬ ‫املبــى الرئيــي ل وات بومــن يف قريــة نــان‪.‬‬ ‫قميهتــا ليســت بعيــدة عــن ابتســامة املونالــزا‪.‬‬ ‫وات بومــن عرفــت ســابقًا بــامس وات برومــن‪،‬‬ ‫والــى تشــر إىل تــارخي نــان)‪ ،‬بنيــت يف عــام‬ ‫‪ 1596‬مــن قبــل بــرا تشــاو بوتــرا برومــن‪ ،‬عاهــل‬ ‫نــان يف تلــك الفــرة‪ .‬هــذا هــو املعبــد الوحيــد يف‬ ‫تايالنــد‪ ،‬الــذى بــي عــى شــل مربــع‪ .‬بــاب‬ ‫املدخــل اخلشــي يوجــد يف ‪ 4‬اجتاهــات ومنحــوت‬ ‫بمنــط فــن االنــا امجليــل (منــط الفــن التايالنــدي‬ ‫المشــايل)‪ 4 .‬صــور ذهبيــة مخضــة لبــوذا ‪،‬‬ ‫موضوعــة داخــل القاعــة الرئيســية‪.‬‬ ‫وقــد زيــن املبــى مــن الداخــل بلــوح جداريــة عــى‬ ‫الطــراز احلديــث وتقنيــة األلــوان (‪ 1800‬م)‪ .‬عنــد‬ ‫تســليط الضــوء عــى وات بومــن ســنجد لوحــة‬ ‫"بــو مــاان و يــا مــاان" ‪ -‬الزوجــن‪ .‬بــو مــاان و يــا‬ ‫مــاان لكــات قدميــة لوصــف رجــال و ســيدات تاي‬ ‫لــو ‪ -‬الســان احملليــن‪ .‬الرجــال ارتــدوا فقــط‬ ‫رساويــل ‪ LUE‬التايالنديــة التقليديــة وأجســادمه‬ ‫اكنــت ممتلئــة بالــومش‪ ،‬واكنــوا يعقــدون شــعرمه‬ ‫الطويــل كعكــة‪ .‬واكنــوا يضعــون أيدهيــم عــى‬ ‫أكتــاف النســاء‪ .‬هــؤالء النســاء ارتــدوا فســاتني‬ ‫تــاي لــو الرمسيــة القدميــة والرجــال هيمســون‬ ‫ببعــض لكــات احلــب بشــل غامــض‪ .‬مــن هنــا‬ ‫يبــدأ احلــب‪.‬‬ ‫كتب بعض املؤلفني ونقلوا مهسات احلب ‪:‬‬ ‫"حمبوبــى ‪ ...‬أخــى أن أتــرك قلبــك يف التيــار‪،‬‬ ‫فيصيبــه الــرد‪.‬‬ ‫أخىش أن أتركه يف المساء‪ ،‬فيغطيه الضباب‪.‬‬ ‫أخىش أن أتركه يف قلعة‪ ،‬فيرسقه األمري‪.‬‬ ‫لذلك أبىق قلبك داخل قليب دامئا ‪" ...‬‬ ‫عــاوة عــى ذلــك‪ ،‬واحــدة مــن اللوحــات‬ ‫األكــر شــعبية هنــا مسيــت "نــان ابتســامة‬ ‫املونالزيا"‪،‬لوحــة لســيدة تمســى يس واي ترتــدي‬ ‫لبــاس عــى الطــراز القــدمي يغــى نصــف اجلســم‬ ‫‪ .‬وتــرز كعكــة شــعرها املعلــق فهيــا ورود ملونــة‬ ‫قدميــة و تبتســم بــل رسور‪ .‬اللوحــات امللونــة‬ ‫األخــرى حتــي قصــة نــان يف األيــام املاضيــة‪،‬‬

The oth‬‬‫‪er colorful paintings tell the story of Nan‬‬ ‫‪in the past days, such as, their lifestyle‬‬ ‫‪and trading with foreign merchants.‬‬ ‫‪From history records, these wall paint‬‬‫‪ings were painted by a Lanna artist ‘Nhan‬‬ ‫‪Bua Phan’, one of the genius artists in the‬‬ ‫‪north of Thailand. It was painted during‬‬ ‫‪the big renovation of Wat Phumin togeth‬‬‫‪er with the adjustment of Nan town plan‬‬ ‫‪on 1867 - 1874. The Guinness World Records recognized the Trang Ceremony in the year 2000 as the World’s largest Underwater Wedding Ceremony. 34 couples from 22 different countries joined that year. If it is not deep enough, on September 2013 the Guinness World Records acknowledged the deepest underwater wedding of Mr. Hiroyuki Yoshida (Japanese) and Mrs. Sandra Smith (American), a couple who have tied the knot at 130m (426 ft. 6.1 in.) below the surface in a cave at Koh Hong Lake, Trang. Trang is a place of fantastic seas with caves such as, Morakot Cave or Emerald Cave, one of the most beautiful places featured in the Unseen Thailand campaign. It is where visitors enjoy the mysterious way of getting inside the blue lagoon of Mook Island, a beautiful group of islands composed of Koh Cheuk, Koh Ngai, and Koh Kradan, and many more, where numbers of couples hum their love songs as the fascinating charm of nature serves as their witness.
