Banana Bread Tidbits of info. Ingredients: 1 ¼ c. Sugar ½ c. Unsalted butter, softened (1 stick) 2 Eggs 2-3 Ripe bananas, mashed ½ c. Buttermilk

1 tsp. 2 ½ c. 2 tsp. ½ tsp. ¼ tsp.

Vanilla Flour Baking powder Salt Baking soda

Directions: Preheat oven to 350◦. Grease bottom only of 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Mix sugar and butter in a large bowl. Add eggs and mix well. Add bananas, buttermilk and vanilla, and beat until smooth. Stir in flour baking powder, salt and baking soda just until flour is moistened. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake about 1 hour 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Loosen sides of the loaf from the pan; remove bread and cool completely on wire rack before slicing.


Variations: o Add 1 c. walnuts or 1 c. chocolate bits to batter just before pouring into pan. o Instead of 1 big loaf pan use 4 mini-loaf pans and cut cooking time to about 30 minutes, or fill cupcake tins and bake 15-20 minutes. Your Variations:
