Frosted Lemon Cookies Oooh! Ingredients: 2 ½ c. Flour 1 ½ c. Sugar 1 c. Butter 2 Eggs 1 Tbsp. Grated lemon peel 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

1 ½ tsp. 1 tsp. ¼ tsp.

Cream or tarter Baking soda Salt

2 ½ c. ¼ c.

Powdered sugar Lemon juice

Directions: Heat oven to 400. Combine all dry cookie ingredients (flour, lemon peel, cream or tarter, baking soda, salt) in a small mixer bowl. In a separate bowl beat sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, and lemon juice. Beat until combined. Reduce speed to low and add dry ingredients to wet, scraping bowl often. Beat until well mixed.


Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar and Âź c. lemon juice in small bowl; stir until smooth. Frost warm cookies with glaze. Sprinkle with grated lemon peel, if desired. Variations: o Glaze can be eliminated but why would you want to do that?. Your Variations:
