Education Institute I would describe myself as a yoga nerd, who loves discussing yoga philosophy, anatomy, and ways to make the yoga community a more accepting space for everyone. My teaching style follows the example of T. Krishnamacharya and his idea of tailoring a yoga practice to each student’s needs and abilities. I work with each student or trainee to help them find their own way of practising or teaching yoga and to believe in themselves in whatever they do. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable and accepted in any class. I want you to come as you are, have some fun, and know that everything you need is right there inside of you. As for my other background, I have a doctorate in education from Columbia University. Along with teaching yoga, I have spent much time teaching and developing health and wellness programs. Introduction

We all want our children to be content, self-assured, and carefree as parents and careers. However, we are unable to shield children from all stresses and worries.

While we cannot stop our children from experiencing anxiety or worry, we can assist them in building a toolset for coping. Our children will be better prepared to deal with challenging situations as adults if they are taught more coping mechanisms for anxiety while they are still young.

Yoga teacher training has been shown to lower stress levels in both children and teenagers because of its focus on the breath and the relationship between the mind and body.

We're going to look at some simple yoga practices you can use to help kids deal with anxiety and concern as we get ready for back to school. We'll begin with some calming breathing techniques. We'll then go through a quick exercise to assist kids gain confidence.

Presentations are tools that can be used as lectures, speeches, reports, and more. It is mostly presented like before an audience. An integral component of yoga are breathing techniques (pranayama), which may even be more significant than the physical positions themselves (asanas). Our children can transition from their fight-orflight response to a calmer state of mind by concentrating on their breathing. The amusing aspect of pretending to be a roaring lion or a buzzing bee can also appeal to younger children. Read More. . .

Bumblebee Breath is an additional enjoyable breathing technique for calming down anxious children. Our kids can calm down when they're stressed out by taking a deep breath out slowly and making a calming humming noise. A buzzing bee imitation will also be fun for smaller children.

1.Lion’sBreath

When children are feeling worried, the breathing practice "Lion's Breath" is excellent. Big feelings can be let out in a powerful way with the dramatic roaring breath.

At Yogaeducation, we appreciate the Warrior postures in particular for boosting children's self-confidence. Start by discussing the qualities of a warrior with your children through our kids yoga teacher training. Can they come up with any examples from literature, television, movies, or real life?

Remember that a warrior need not be a person who uses weapons in battle. Martin Luther King and Audre Lorde were examples of peaceful warriors who put up a valiant fight without using violence to further their causes.
