MUSEUM OF PHOTOGRAPHY LOCATION
Nehru Park, Delhi
OBJECTIVE
To design a built space for photography exhibition with complementary functions, to reside in a diplomatic area, which could provide for small scale events. The challenge of dealing with eco sensitive nature of park was a continual reminder in the design process.
CONCEPT In the eco context of the park, which often has multiple users like morning walkers, public for casual hangout, the park sometimes host public events many times. By raising the building on stilts, not only the topography and ecology are preserved, but the spaces double up for regular users as a protection from harsh summer sun, which may increase the comfort for various activities.

CONCEPT The challenge was to use the senses other than vision in the design. A blindfolded person experiences the volume of the space, which was the key pointer in this design. The volume decreases with the progression of the space and turn indication marked the change of space’s purpose. TERRACE OVERLOOKING THE RIVER

NSIC Grounds, Delhi
The Magical winter Landscape of Delhi There is magic in the air during the winters in Delhi. Flowers of the deepest tones bloom all over like a wild forest fire and the fog makes everything else seem magical. This is the poetic side to Delhi. However, there is another side and that is, this city turning into a large Urban waste jungle where, the fog turns to smog and the flowers beds are getting overshadowed by the frowings scrap waste hills.

These structures were a tribute to the cut trees due to urbanization of towns and cities, made with scrap metal. They were named after the trees, with similar trunks like Taad, Gulmohar.
