HOME REMODEL DIAMOND BAR
Neutral palette featuring geometric patterns
and deep colors, this eclectic look brings sophistication as well as edginess alive. The client was a young couple in their late 20s living with their little boy. Under the Principal Designer’s review, I managed the project and stayed in communication with the family while they went overseas. I also developed punctual design revision drawings and organized all FF&E related documentations. I felt very grateful for the challenge; at the end, after coordinating all vendors and inspecting every detail, we proudly delivered a turn key home to the client’s vision.

SPECULATIVE HOME, ARCADIA
This newly constructed craftsman spec home
embraces a fresher and more updated look to suit the targeting market in the area. Without too fancy and ornate decorations, the fine and simple interior brings coziness to the future family’s life. By working alongside the senior designer, I developed all conceptual design drawings for the contractor and followed up with all involved parties afterwards. I was also responsible for making initial FF&E selections for the developer to review. The house finished on schedule and was sold within days after it became available .

BELTRACCHI RESIDENCE
SUMMARY The 64-year-old Beltracchi is a true prankster who has always been living his life on the borderline. He is the infamous German art forger of the century, who had shaken the whole art world and conned millions of dollars out of his creations. Gifted as a mastermind, he never shies away from talking about his talents and egos. Therefore, I purposely brought a center to the space to echo his boldness. The initial configuration was also inspired by the three primary and secondary colors in a Venn Diagram. Just like how all other colors were creations based on the primary three’s mixes, Beltracchi painted as if they were the great artists’ orginial works. His youthful and active nature called for bright and vibrant colors. He enjoys entertaining with his guests. Therefore, both levels offer lounges that pertain to his lifestyle. His creative studio is on the lower floor and is more secluded from everything else to allow for some tranquil painting time.

The concept model is a boutique hotel front for the prominent Taiwanese
bookstore chain, Eslite. Books are the major products sold in the stores; therefore, using books as a starting point, the design was inspired by how books are placed on the shelves. Hand cut plywood and acetate planks composed the feature. It sparks a variety in textures and so more visual interest.

MODEL: BOUTIQUE HOTEL
PROTOTYPE: THE TUNEL
This lighting project was inspired by the interesting effects mirrors
possess. Without electrical power, the project appears to be a flat wall art. As soon as electricity runs through, the piece becomes three dimensional. It’s like the tunnel suddenly decided to reveal its secret. The turn makes it a more dramatic scene. It provokes curiosity and an urge for exploration. Welcome to the illusional world.
