ABSTRACT • Mono Allyl Hepta Phenyl (MAHP) POSS, Trisilanol phenyl (TSP) POSS and silicone containing POSS in the main chain (Resinous POSS) were synthesized by hydrolysis followed by alkali/acid catalysed condensation of alkoxysilane.

R= Phenyl group

• MAHP & TSP POSS were incorporated separately into resinous POSS with different weight loadings and subsequently cured via condensation curing mechanism.

• The cure characteristics of MAHP POSS nano composite was studied by thermal methods and evaluated the cure kinetics and the related activation parameters.

For complete curing at RT (30°C)- 8days (192hrs) is required.
