Classes of SAHAYOG Programme of Department of Collegiate Education, Bengaluru was started on 3rd April, 2010. Mr.Sanjeev R Joshi of Critical Edge, Bengaluru is speaking to the students of SAHAYOG programme. A.Narayana Prasad.,HOD(Hindi) & Convener, JIPC and M.Balakrishna, HOD(Comptr.Science) are also seen.
The essential aim of education is employability with social recognition. Unfortunately, many of our graduates lack the required skills to be gainfully employed. Despite increasing demand in the job market they find themselves unemployable. This indicates a clear mismatch between the demand for skills and the skills that they bring to the job. There is an urgent need to equip the young graduates with soft-skills and job-skills to empower them. (…continued in page 2)

Sahayog It is an initiative which forges alliances between Industries and Government First Grade Colleges in Karnataka. The programme intends to inculcate essential core skills among students to enhance their employability. This is to be done by the corporate trainers, through training programmes. The 100 hour training modules include topics like self-esteem, communication, inter/intra-personal, leadership skills and so on. Institutions/Individuals willing to sponsor this philanthropic venture are the S - partners of the Government Colleges.
