JIPC Special Classes for the interested final and second year students for the academic year 2011-10 started on 18th Sep, 2010. Students are going through magazines related to various Competitive Exams.
On 18th Sep, 2010, the special classes of JIPC for the year 2010-11 started. These classes do run on every Saturdays till examination begins, from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm and if necessary on Sundays/holidays from 10 am to 4.30 pm. During these hours, students will be trained in Group Discussions, Vocabulary build-up, English Language Enhancement, Analytical Skill Development, Logical Thinking, Mock Interviews, etc., In addition to the above, an attempt is being made to encourage these students to appear for Competitive Examinations viz., Civil Services Examinations, Karnataka Services Examn.,
Banking-LIC and other competitive examination. Students from various combinations have responded to this special training. These trainings are being imparted to them as an honorary work. We make free ourselves from our routine official work to help out the interested students to build their career in a better way. Since these classes runs through out the year, a lot of activities have been spread out. Hope this year too we get students who bring laurels to our College placement cell activity.

In the opening class, the students, for the first time in their life, wrote their immediate dreams on board in front of everyone. They said, by doing so, now they feel more focused and determined to achieve their goal. During the discussion on everyone’s dream, which went for 3 hours, it was also felt that proper planning and hard work is a must to access the dream. A.Narayana Prasad, Head, Dept.of Hindi and Convener, JIPC was the faculty for the opening class. Sri H V Lakshminarayan, Principal wished the students in reaching their goal. Dr.Srinivas, Head, Deptof Kannada and Converor, NAAC, Govt.First Grade College for Women’s, Hassan not only felt happy about the event, but also told the students that getting inspired from the activities on JIPC, similar programme is being organized in their college to help the rural students to be competitive in the changing world. Finally everyone’s dream at one place – the interesting part is everyone’s dream except very very few is different. Everyone has different goal – wonderful isn’t it!!
Activities happened on 18th and 25th September, 2010 18th Sep, 2010 – A.Narayana Prasad
- from 2.30pm to 5.30 pm - Students were encouraged to express their dreams openly in front of other JIPC students. This activity raised the feeling of commitment in them. They were also made to defend their dreams by cross questioning the validity and possibility of realizing their dreams in the context of time and money. During the discussion it is felt that before dreaming about one’s career – one should take every circumstance into consideration. Based on the strength of the individual dreams will realize. Apart from this, activities related to the interview viz., removing shyness, eye-contact, speaking clear and louder etc., were also carried out. Students were appraised about the facilities available at JIPC. Each student should compulsorily borrow magazines related to the various competitive examinations. Ice breaking activity was also carried out. Suhas HS of Vth Sem EMCs and Sowmya S of Vth Sem PMCs were made as students representatives.
25th Sep, 2010 – A.Narayana Prasad
– 2.30pm to 4 pm - Career & Guidance Bulletin Sep, 2010 issued by Univ.of Mysore was circulated among the students. List of Magazines available at JIPC was circulated. Basic aspects of Language English, Grammar was thought. The chapter NOUN was covered with lots of examples.
4.10pm to 6 pm – Adinarayan
– What is Analytical Skill, Ice-breaking activity
and 7-up Games.
