STANDARD DESIGN CRITERIA ACE's tanks are conformed to BS 4994. This design results in a 10 to 1 factory of safety against liner failure when the tanks are used at ambient temperature and atmosphere pressure.
CONSTRUCTION Corrosion Barrier This is the layer which is directly contacted with the liquid. This layer is consisted of corrosion resistance polyester resin reinforced with surface mat.

Corrosion Layer The second corrosion resistance layer is consisted of the same component as layer (A) reinforced with fiberglass chopped stand mat.

Structure Layer This is the main structure layer which supports the weight of the tank and liquid. This is constructed by filament winding machine which provides the highest circumferential strength.

Topcoat Layer Consisting of the same grade of corrosion resistance polyester resin as layer (A) & (B) mixed with different kind of additives scubas UV inhibitor, fire retardant and color pigment.

Medium reactivity orthophthalic acid based unsaturated polyester resin well suitable for hand lay-up and spray up process. High molecular weight isophthalic resin with a broad chemical resistance at moderate temperature. Excellent processability. Bishenol A Backbone contributes to exellent corrosion resistance from acids and alkalies. Used where severe caustic environment will be encountered. Balances corrosion resistance to acids and alkalies with good processability. Generally achieves the corrosion resistance of a bisphenol, A fumarate polyester resin while providing excellint toughness and resistance against cracking. User friendly in both filament winding and hand lay-up applications.

FRP PIPING SYSTEM
ACE is acquainted with and has a wide knowledge of Chemicals for various industries. The quality of ACE’s pipes have constantly improved because of the accumulation of knowledge over years. The Filament Winding method is used in ACE’s production process, which makes the structures of pipes stronger and safer.
5 Good Reasons for A Smart Choice 1. Resistance to corrosion.
Corrosion, the greatest for of all industries, is no longer a problem because of GRP pipes. GRP pipes are playing an increasing role in fighting corrosion. The materials offer resistance and inertness towards a wide spectrum of chemical conditons and have been proved in service.
2. Long working life
Experience and study carried out over the last two decades in the most competent research centres are the best guarantees for the long working life.
3. Light Weight
The light weight which is wedded to the exceptional mechanical properties makes handing easy and eliminates breakage during transport, unloading and laying, Worksite operations are noticeably reduced and are carried out with a smaller labour force and with lifing means which are low cost and readily available.
4 . E xc e l l e n t hydraulic properties

Owing to their smooth surface, ACE’s pipes are well placed from a hydraulic point of view. With a roughness which stays constant in the long term, coefficient of relative roughness is low, thus enabling pipe diameters to be reduced without reducing the volume of flow or saving to be made in the puming cost.
5. No need for maintenance
Because of their inertness to chemicals, ACE’s pipes need neither regular painting when laid above ground nor cathodic protection nor bituminous coatings when buried.

Construction Laminate construction of the stadard GRP pipe is achieved with automated equipment and filament winding in the following steps.
A A resin-rich layer layer of chemical-resistant polyester or vinylester is uniformly applied to inner surface mat of fiberglass reinforcement, or surfacing veil. B A resin-rich layer of chemical-resistant polyester or vinylester is uniformly applied with a chopped-strand mat layer of fiberglass. C The filamant-wound layer, impregnated with polyester resin, is applied for highest circumferential strength. The thickness of this layer varies with pipe size and pressure. D The resin-rich layer of chemical-resistant polyester or vinylester is uniformly applied onto an outer surface of filament-wound layer.

Butt-joint
A butt-joint is a glass fibre reinforced laminate, suitable for all diameters and designed to withhold maximum pressures up to 16 bar (x safety factor 6), depending on the product-type.
Flanged joint
Flanged joints are recommended when easy assembling and disassembling of pipes and fittings is preferable or necessary. GRP-flanged joints can also be applied when GRP pipelines connect with, for example, flanged steel pipes. NOMINAL SIZE
