ALBUM NEWS:
It’s been 50 years since the release of Country Music Hall of Fame member Ray Stevens’ GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-million selling No. 1 hit song, “Everything Is Beautiful.” To celebrate the occasion, Stevens is releasing a newlyrecorded 2020 version of the tune. The legendary singer returned to Curb Records for the new recording. The 50th Anniversary Edition of “Everything is Beautiful” dropped on October 30. “You know it doesn’t seem possible, but I first recorded this song 50 years ago,” says Stevens. “We’ve come a long way since then and still have a lot of miles left to go, so let’s not fall apart now. Let’s come together and show the world that everything really is... beautiful.” Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic song, the 2020 version finds the tune’s timely message as relevant as ever, tapping into the notion that the country must come together in the midst of division. Both versions of “Everything Is Beautiful” are available for digital download at https://www.curb.com/store/artists/407/. More about Ray at https://raystevens.com/.
ARTIST NEWS: Multi-Platinum trio Lady A will help fans celebrate the holidays this year, with the release of On This Winter’s Night Deluxe. After the timeless record initially landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums chart, the trio expands the collection to 16 songs including four brand new tracks.
CJ Solar got into the Christmas spirit early this year with his first holiday release, “The Only Present I Want.” Reminiscing of a Christmas past, CJ knows if it’s wrapped up in paper and tied with a bow it’s not what he really wants on Dec. 25. The single is available now on Raining Bacon Records via PlayMPE.
“We’ve always loved the holiday season, but it has become even more magical now that we’re parents,” Hillary Scott shared. “So, we thought we’d add on a new, original song that was inspired by our kids and our take on a few of our favorites, which has brought us so much joy. I think we could all use a little extra holiday cheer this year!”
“I wrote this with my buddies Devin Barker and Andy Wills a couple years ago,” said CJ. “As I was thinking about hopping into the studio this summer I thought, ‘what better year would it be to release some Christmas music to get the holiday cheer going?’ So we recorded it alongside some other music I’ll be releasing soon!”
The four additional songs reinvented for On This Winter’s Night Deluxe were produced by Dann Huff and include “Wonderful Christmastime,” “Christmas Through Your Eyes,” “Little Saint Nick” and “That Spirit of Christmas.” It is “Christmas Through Your Eyes” that sparked the project, written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott, the track perfectly captures the true spirit of the season. CJ celebrated his second #1 single as a songwriter, when Jameson Rodgers’ debut single “Some Girls” recently topped the national country charts. He has released three EPs which yielded the Top 15 MusicRow singles “Airplane” and “American Girls” and the Top 10 “Coming My Way.” Keep up with CJ Solar at: https://www.cjsolar.com/
