DARIA KURILYUK For me ACUTE is a one girl's dream coming to reality. It's a remind that everything is possible and your ideas can work out if you will put an "on" button in your head, move your ass and will stop waiting for a miracle. Cause it always happens only when you fucking start doing something. Also, it's a belief in your own ideas. Otherwise, I guess I won't suggest Nastya to wear her fancy new blouse and black pants on a surfboard. And you haven't seen the backstage yet!

CHRISTINA MONMORANSI With my first saved up $ 25 I bought a film camera. I was 7 years old and I preferred it to all the Barbie dolls. I have never thought that I would become a photographer, I just really love it.

Renya Xydis is Wella Professionals and Cloud Nine Hairdressing Ambassador. She is one of the most sought-after editorial, runway, and celebrity hair stylists. Her work has graced the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Russh Magazine. Renya`s portfolio list includes Cate Blanchett, Naomi Watts, Nicole Kidman, Miranda Kerr and many more. In our interview Renya talks about summer hair care goodies and her own beauty regime.
What was your biggest break as a professional hairstylist? How did it all happen for you? When I was 16 years of age I worked on an editorial shoot I did a cover for Nicole Kidman that made me want to do editorial. Collette Dinnigan when she first started showing her range at Paris Fashion Week asked me to do the hair and I took off from there working with hair industry greats such as Sam McKnight and Eugene Souilman working in Milan and Paris Fashion Week shows year after year. Tell us about your work at Fashion Week. How do you deal with crazy rhythm of shows? One of my busiest and most favourite times of the year is Fashion Week as I am lucky enough to participate in both New York Fashion Week and Sydney’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. There is nothing quite like the craziness you experience during the Week, with all hands on deck back stage, the energy is infectious – I love it! This year for MBFW I was the Creative Hair Director for Di$count Univer$e, Duvenage and Bianca Spender. As Ambassador for both Cloud Nine and Wella Professional, I actively represent these brands throughout my work with Fashion Week.

What are some of your favorite hair trends this summer? This summer it is all about transforming form long to short hair – chop it off with a stylish do that will take you from beach to bar without too much effort! Working some sea salt spray into your locks is an easy way to add texture and add volume.
Cate Blanchett in Vogue Australia by Steven Che
What is your advice for having the perfect hairstyle without being overdone? I love loose waves, but sometimes it can be a little overdone. The best way to avoid this is to use a tool like Cloud Nine’s Waving Wand which creates an effortless yet finished look. After using the Wand, brush through to curls for a more natural look. Could you describe your day-to-day beauty regime? Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara, Make Up Forever Aqua Liner in gold, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in dark, Cloud Nine Waving Wand, Wella SP Luxe Oil.
Rachael Taylor in Harper 39`s Bazaar Australia
Which hair styling/care products you just can’t live without? – Wella Sp Luxe Oil – I believe it’s the best on the market, it’s light weight and doesn’t leave a build up on the hair leaves the hair shiny and smells divine. – The Cloud Nine Waving Wand – Great for creating texture and movement, the Waving Wand is my go-to tool and I use it most mornings! – Wella Ocean Spritz – a sea salt spray that gives the hair texture and grit making styling so much easy and giving it staying power.
Abbie Cornish in Harper 39`s Bazaar Australia
What simple routine can you give us for protecting hair from the sun? Wella Professional’s Luxe Oil Keratin Restore masque is great for damaged hair. It contains Jojoba and Almond Oils with Argan Oil, which provides the hair with protection from the sun, and nourishes the hair. Using this twice a week will keep your hair protected from the sun, and restore your hair back to its original condition.

SUMMER'S
Great stylist and Evo’s creative director Leonard Newton about hair care secrets
WEAPON 1. 2. 3.
Does eating certain foods make hair stronger, grow faster or shinier? Kelp is really good for healthy hair growth and a good balanced diet. It`s loaded with vitamin K, calcium, and other essential nutrients. What`s the most common mistakes people make with hair? Not using a detangling spray on their hair before combing on either wet or dry hair. Also using a wide tooth comb-to-comb hair through. Is hair like skin? Hair products must change as we change our style or colour. Exposure to heat or hot styling tools may result in the need for protein or moisture. Or indeed both. A good regular treatment is the answer.
4.
Best hair advice you`ve ever been given? Always seek advice from the professionals.
5.
What should everyone be aware of if they want to revitalise damaged hair? There is a point when there is a need to cut and remove the damaged hair. Prevention is the key, as oppose to finding a cure and use regular treatments and have haircuts every six to eight weeks. And don`t forget to use quality hair care.
6.
What is the most outrageous hair myth ever heard? That sperm is great scalp treatment. Whilst it is rich in protein, I can’t say it is something I would recommend.
7.
What’s a must have hair product in the bathroom? EVO ‘Normal Persons’ shampoo. It’s the ultimate detox with amazing scalp-helping properties.
8.
Best versatile hair product? EVO ‘Mr Fantastic’ is a texture spray and it suits all hair types. It gives body and volume, and a relaxed feel to the hair.
9.
Products we should save on? Don’t waste money buying generic, lesser quality hair products; you won’t get the results you want and will end up not using them.
10.
27
And splurge on? Quality, prescribed salon only products – you want your hair to stick around for a long time so it is definitely worth looking after it by using the best possible products.
Normal persons evo daily shampoo
Cleanses deeply, removes product build up, balances hair and scalp. Sulphate free cleansers have low foaming action to clean gently and are better for the planet. Recommended for all hair types, especially normal to oily hair.
28
The great hydrator evo moisture mask
Conditions, adds moisture, enhances shine, reduces frizz, and greatly improves hair manageability. Recommended fordry, frizzy, colour-treated hair benefits
29
Mister fantastic evo blowout spray
Provides thermal protection, plumps hair and adds texture all at the same time. Recommended for all hair types, especially long, layered hair benefits.

Charming PLACE
New Zealand through the eyes of two lovers
Photography EVAN ARIA 45
We are a young Hungarian couple currently traveling in New Zealand, Australia and Indonesia. We are really interested in the hidden treasures a place has to offer and always try to walk off the beaten track. Hitch-hiking and Couchsurfing let us get to know many locals and fellow travelers and also help better immerse into foreign cultures.
46
47
Located at the northernmost part of New Zealand, Cape Reinga is a sacred Maori place where the spirits of the dead are believed to enter the underworld. A nice walk leads to the lighthouse providing a great view to where the Tasmanian and the Pacific Ocean meet.
48
After two serious earthquakes had shaken Christchurch and destroyed the bigger part of the city center, temporary buildings were raised. The container mall gives home to nice little local shops and bars during the rebuilding period.
49
50
When visiting New Zealand, no one should miss the famous vineyards of Marlborough region. Many cellars offer free tasting of their great selection of red and white wines.

Lake Tekapo and the surrounding area have one of the most beautiful sceneries in the South Island. Many hiking routes lead to hilltops around the lake from where there is an amazing view to the region.

Queenstown is the extreme sport capital of New Zealand - it tells a lot that bungee jumping was invented in this region. Those who want their adrenalin fix can choose canyon swing or rafting, while those who prefer a quiet afternoon can go for a nice cable car ride up the hills.
52
New Zealand is famous for its diverse flora; good selections are found in botanic gardens. This beautiful aloe vera plant is in the Wellington Botanic Garden which is just a short walk from the city center.
53
Whangarei is a good place for nature lovers with its various landscapes. Head for Whangarei Heads for the best beaches and hiking routes and leave an hour to discover Whangarei Falls located in the middle of a scenic reserve.
54
Visiting Hobbiton is a must for every Lord of the Rings fan. The set of the movie is well preserved and can be visited through guided tours - there is even a surprise at the end!

OCEAN GYPSY Dmitry Zabula – the founder and the head of successful school of surfing Endless summer at Bali – talked to ACUTE about Indonesian and his own lifestyle.
When and how you got the first surfboard? I was earlier engaged in a kitesurfing professionally, in 2003 became champion in Russia. At that time there was popular a wave-driving on kite and I bought board which it was possible to ride both on kite and without it. I completely passed to surfing soon and in 2007 at Bali bought my first surfboard. The idea of creation of own school was born as business strategy or as a personal need to realize the interest? It was rather a requirement to realize the professional potential and an opportunity to be late to Bali for some time to surf how many I will want. This improbable feeling when in the beginning you are full of doubts if your plan will be successful but as a result everything turns out. You don't imagine Bali without... what? Without surfing, obviously. For the sake of it I moved here. I travel a lot and I don't know other place where it's possible to surf on ideal and so various waves almost every day, all the year round. Moreover in warm water.
83
Tell about your favorite spots at Bali. My preferences constantly change depending on my addictions in surfing at the moment. There are a lot of spots at Bali, all of them are different: pipes, big and powerful, small and comfortable, right, left, confidential, for longboard, for shortboard etc. Where on the island do you like to spend free time? I have no favorite places, I like basically everything that situated down near the ocean – everywhere there is something special. Bukit is very pleasant place; it's the southern peninsula which is mostly located on a height. Rocky coast, transparent ocean, powerful waves. In the distance from the ocean, I like only one place – Batur volcano. Atmosphere there is also very pleasant, even air is different. It's cool to rise by the mountain at sunrise, to walk round a crater and then to swim for a while in the cool lake and to lay in hot springs. Which life experience you got living at Bali? Here I've self-actualized. I live where I want and I am engaged in what I really like. And it's not only livelihood, but also a way to satisfaction with life. Due to life at Bali I became a happy person.
People at Bali Interests «now» way more, «then» excites them much less. 84
Try to find three main differences of the Indonesian lifestyle from European. Indonesian vital way defines moslem. But people at Bali live under the influence of Hinduism. Locals here are saying: time is rubber. I tried very hard, but I can't achieve the necessary result as quickly, as in the megalopolis. I lost many nervous cages before learned not to go against the stream. But surprisingly everything turns out simpler and quicker if not to force an events and business. People at Bali interests «now» way more, «then» excites them much less. They can't understand what work for perspective means; therefore they will rather lease the house for one month for $1000, than agree to hand over it for $700 a month within a year. The majority has no aspiration to result; there is no desire to reach something bigger. Truly happiness for them is where they are and what they have right now. Something will change? Ok. Nothing will change? Ok. And how Bali changed from the moment of your moving there? I spent here more than 6 years and now I can understand those who live at Bali for 10-15 years and complains of tourists and an urbanization. You can't stop progress. Certainly there are positive sides, for example, the remarkable highway which reduces a way to favorite spots from an hour to 20 minutes. But island develops too quickly and irresponsibly. Some of the most beautiful beaches already disappeared; instead of them are huge jams now. But I don't complain. As well as it is accepted by locals, I perceive it as a reality.

GIRL POWER Meet Lydia Honan, the owner and founder of Pretty Fit Training. And learn how one of Melbourne’s hottest fitness pros stays balanced and inspired.
89
What is your training philosophy? Ooh difficult, I have two: - What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while. - Train smarter and listen to your body. Could you describe your day-to-day beauty regime? I like to take care of my skin and I also work part time as a model, so when I get the chance to have a bare face, I take it. On those days you just can’t get away with nothing, I moisturize, use a light BB cream or tinted moisturizer, a touch of bronzer on the cheeks and brown natural looking mascara on the top lashes. What other passions do you have besides sport? I love to dance. I have danced since I was around 5 doing tap, jazz and ballet. When I was 11 I started calisthenics, I now train twice a week, compete at a championship level and in 2010, 2011 and in 2014 will be representing Victoria at Nationals. I also model part time and am represented by a commercial agency. I love that both modelling and calisthenics involve performing and enable me to express myself through creative outlets. Could you outline what a normal day of training involves? A normal day of training consists of a short burst in the morning. A 15 minute run or 1 minute of squats/lunges/ crunches. Just something simple to get my heart pumping and blood flowing! Around lunch time either before or after will be my
main workout for the day, 3 days a week is whole body strength training and twice a week I’ll change that up to a long run, a group class or 1000 steps with friends. At night I like to take it easy with some yoga and stretching, one night a week I play netball so that gives me a pretty great workout as well! Is there a “best time of day to work out”? I don’t think there is a “best time of day” I think the best time is when you get that rush of adrenalin and just want to get sweaty. That’s when you should workout. Do you have a favorite places for trainings? I love training myself at the beach. Sand brings a great new element of resistance and stability to your workouts - and of course the beautiful landscapes. I use local parks quite often while on walks and or runs. The benches are great for exercises like box jumps, triceps dips and many more. I also love training at the dance studio and the gym in front of the mirrors, mirrors are great for correcting posture and technique. Not to mention taking the sneaky #gymselfie. How do you motivate clients to be consistent with exercise? As per my training philosophy, “What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while.” Most of my clients are pretty good with consistency; you just have to start small. Do some squats while you wait for the kettle to boil, or turn your favorite TV show into a workout.

NOTES:
WARM UP
Consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. This workout can be done with or without equipment. Drink lots of water to replenish fluids lost during sweat. Always do dynamic stretching BEFORE a workout – leg swings, arm circles, etc. Always static stretch AFTER your workout – quad stretch, cobra pose, etc. If you are unsure about how to perform an exercise safely, have a look online or alternatively send me a message via Petty Fit Training’s facebook page. Take your time, correct technique is more important than reps.

t e k c a r The t rocked tha Marina Zanevska is most known and perspective tennis player of Ukraine, in a break between matches of the championship of Rolland Garros she talked to us about victories, limitation of spectator perception and healthy nutrition
102
I should tell that sometimes I eat sweets – I enjoy it, but most often it is compelled to follow healthy nutrition.
If you wouldn't choose sport, what professions could you be good at? What entertains you? I like interior design. I also love to shoot and to be photographed too. What kind of person you became because of sport? Courageous, I guess. What about your fears then? I'm really afraid not to be with the family while it will be especially necessary for them. We see each other seldom because of my work schedule. What's the main difference of sports by eyes of the tennis player from sports by eyes of the viewer? What even the most devoted audience never will be able to appreciate? First, the audience always considers that it's ok to condemn tennis players though none of them don't even imagine, what difficulties it is necessary to face in sports everytime.
105
Nobody knows what's necessary to endow, with what injuries to cope and through what barriers passes everyone. Secondly, for any audience match is just a simple game, show which they come to see. Maybe it sounds pathetic, but for each tennis player his business is his life. Each player has the destiny in own way interesting and difficult, but it always remains outside tennis court: everything that you can show to the audience is your game only. Your work schedule always includes travel. What do you usually do first of all to explore the new country? Basically I haven't so much time for it. Coming on tournament, I'm obliged to adhere to a certain schedule – not only matches, but also trainings. But of course I always try not to miss any opportunity to get out to the city if I have time. Impressions of new places inspire you for productive work or prevent to concentrate? Neither that, nor another. There just are places that make you wish to stay longer because they become favorite from the first minutes. Then tell us about your favorite places. I am fascinated by Vancouver! I would like to live there if I had the choice. People there are amazing, kind and smiling. The cities where I'd like to stay more often and longer are definitely New York, Barcelona, Melbourne and Sydney. I love Australia in general. Each tennis round traditionally begins with the Australian tournaments – in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne – all tennis players always come back there with big delight, although 24-hour flight is quite difficult. But all my heart forever belongs to the hometown – Odessa. Do you have a habit to compare the countries with each other? No. As the majority of tennis players, I got used to compare more likely tournaments, but the countries hardly. Do you realize yourself as the public person? Absolutely not. I am the most ordinary girl.
How important is for you the personal space in usual life and during preparation for tournaments? Though my schedule is planned for days, weeks and even months and I need constantly to adhere to it, to be very disciplined, I am not the robot. Therefore the personal space is necessary for me both in work and in life to have a rest, be disconnected from tennis and just to stay that ordinary girl, having rejected all physical and psychological activities. Is there a special way for you to build the lifestyle to be focused on better preparation? Life of the tennis player is a constantly and difficult work which demands big concentration. You know that playing well is always only the result of preparation. So it's important to eat and sleep regularly, to be able to be restored, irrespective of external circumstances to prepare for games better. Sometimes it's necessary to forget about your private life and be ready to endow many other things. You will never guess, what exactly it would be. So you agree with the idea that healthy nutrition has enormous impact on physical training of athletes? Then share with us secrets of the sports diet. I should tell that sometimes I eat sweets – I enjoy it, but most often it is compelled to follow healthy nutrition. In this respect I have no special secrets. Unless certain sports drinks which provide to an organism fast physical regeneration. What you surely include in the daily regimen? Exercises which help to prevent injuries. I do it everyday. Which personal qualities helped you to become the successful person? First of all I would designate persistence, patience and diligence – they help me to reach my goals. However, I don't consider myself as the successful person yet, but I hope to become.
