"Women of our History" 3
2018 writing project.
We are Esteban Alfonzo and Rubén Domínguez, students of the Padre Manuel González school in El Calafate, Santa Cruz. We made this magazine to leave a memory of the women who founded us as a people, the pioneers in Patagonia. In our magazine we will talk about a figure that we chose to represent and that has a lot to emphasize. This issue is carried out thanks to the third year Language and Literature subject taught by Professor Natacha Peñaloza. Our honoree is Mrs. Sonia Simunovic de Palmittesa who was one of the first women in our town and the pioneer in the field of tourism, a central activity in our history to be founded as a city.

Sonia Moría Simunovic from Palmittesa.
She was born on December 22, 1934 in Río Gallegos, she was our first teacher of our place and in 1959 the National Council of Education confirmed her in the position of director of the school N ° 9. On June 19, 2004 in El Calafate died at the age of 69 years.

And what happened in cultural matters during those years?

In the year of 1950 when Sonia was 54 years old, magazines such as "PatoruzĂş and Patoruzito" were read, which were then comic strips in the town, then "Younger" was a reading magazine. In that same year, Sonia, had Edmundo Mansilla Soto or better known as "Nuno" Mansilla (who was an untitled guide in the company of these brothers) from his elementary school, over the years he ended up being one of the most famous writers of El Calafate. This man and his family were also among the first settlers of this Patagonian town.

On the other hand, Sonia had two brothers, one of them was Tonko Mario Simunovic, who was the first man to devote himself to the exploitation of tourism in the town. Founded the transport company Interlagos, the first EVyT company that was in El Calafate and it can be said that the first in all of Santa Cruz, these excursions oversaw it (Tonko) and presented the task of guide and driver "Nuno" Mansilla. In addition to looking for tourists in Rio Gallegos, Mario sometimes took charge of transporting parcels that were exchanged between relatives. This company that Tonko raised, lasted until the 90s. On May 21, 2016 Tonko Mario Simunovic "The founder of tourism" passes away.

After the death of her husband, Sonia took over the Hotel Michelangelo, which was an icon in the eighties. The possibility of traveling the world gave him the opportunity to turn over the experiences he gathered from his trips. The restaurant that included the Hotel contained an excellent gastronomy for the time, this got to such point that all the presidents of Argentina from

Alfonsin, Menem of the RĂşa Duhalde, NĂŠstor and Cristina Kirchner ate in him.

Sonia Simunovic, an empathic woman who puts herself in the place of the other in order to notice what that person feels and be able to help her. We can associate it with a good sense of humor since all those who knew her as well as highlighting her elegance also emphasize that she was very charismatic in times of coexistence. We believe that she was a woman with optimism for all her accomplished things such as carrying out a restaurant, hotel and traveling around the world. She is a person with honesty but at the same time she is also correct and right when it comes to fulfilling something that she intended.
"Women of our History" 14
She was very generous with the simple fact of sharing what little she had at the time, the will she put at the time of performing acts with other people. Humility, because even though she was in a very high position at the time, she never stopped being a teacher when she was barely a teacher. Altruism is what stood out and stands out in her memories, she is already known for her actions carried out to help others. Something fundamental for which he will remind Sonia is to be called "the aunt of the people." This woman is described by her family and peers as a very good person, a hilarious woman, in a very good mood but above all very elegant.

OPINION COLUMN. COMPARISON OF THE BOOK WITH THE WOMAN.
"Women of our History" 17
The comparison that we find from the text that we read "ETHICS FOR AMADOR" by Fernando Savater - "seventh chapter" with the woman we chose is that it is very similar to the protagonist since the 2 show to be very empathetic people, both try to get in the place of the other. They try to give the possibility of being 1 with the other as the other for me. To give the possibility that the other person feels that we put ourselves in their place having the same point of view, the same thought, the same tastes, in themselves, seeing and perceiving life as they do. Because that's the way it is, everyone for being all of us (adulterers, rapists, misers, liars, etc.) must treat each other equally because we are all equal people. All "we are made of the same paste", "of the same dreams", learn not to do to others what we do not like to do to us. Give the opportunity to speak if someone has made you feel bad, indifferent, etc., not for situations like this, you must stop being as you are, no, but give the other the opportunity to communicate how you feel and how you see things from His point of view. In the same way he is still him and you are still you.
"Women of our History" 18
In conclusion to what we are going is that the woman as the author wanted to express that we are all people and that at some point in our lives we have gone through the same situations and therefore we must be understanding with others and give them the opportunity for change, of being people, of putting ourselves in their place and situation and understanding that maybe not all of us can be perfect and in the way they expect us to be. So Sonia expressed it in her long life, proving to be a person who accepts others as they are and that we all make mistakes and likewise never stop trying for what we are, people.
In our institution there is a classroom in homage to this woman because she was the first pioneer in the field of tourism in our town. This is used for the subject of tourism where CES students learn this orientation. The classroom also has a reception where you can find a telephone for the simulation of a reservation in

a room, fax, hotel flyers, laptop (Notebook) and a key for the room that is in the same room. . In second place, the room that is in the classroom has beds equipped as in a hotel, in the same there is also a light table and a window that allows you to enjoy the view of the courtyard of the institution. Finally, there is also a well-equipped bathroom and a cellar where the cutlery can be found. Marco in commemoration.

An important point to highlight at that time is some of the products used in these. Such as the typewriter, the refrigerators of that moment, lamps, etc. Here some of these products: ● Tableware for tea, coffee or other infusions. (They were used more to travel)
● Lamp to kerosene.
● Refrigerators

"Women of our History" 25
The present magazine is interested in writing part of the history of El Calafate. The work entrusted tends to contemporary times erase a story that is not so far from all of us and that is part of our roots. We do not want, nor want, to lose an entity of which we feel very proud, out of respect for ourselves and admiration towards these pioneers who founded this new land for their children.
Men and women from all over the world who arrived with their passages and returns here founded their families, giving to this new soil the fruit of the love that those homes gave: their children, and they took the post of
those dreams cradled by a thousand Patagonian winds, forming new homes and giving new shoots to be from this south the Argentine jurisdiction that we all yearn for. With the management of the realization of this magazine we want to write from the memory, the pioneers and pioneers of yesterday, so that their lives are not simply in the memory of a few, but are part of history not yet written.
