Context 78violet (originally known and formed as Aly & AJ) is an American duo consisting of sisters Aly and AJ Michalka, both of whom are singer-songwriters, guitarists, and actors. Their first album was released in 2005 with three following this in consecutive years. Since then the band has reformed and changed its sound, aesthetic and name through change in taste and age. Their upcoming album release of this new style with 'Hothouse' is set to be in early 2014. Brief or Tasks Produce a re brand for the band after their recent change in name and change in musical direction in preparation for their first album release in 5 years. For this you will also need to produce a range of products to promote their album and potential future tours. This brief will allow you to explore branding within the entertainment sector. Preparation/Research suggestions You will need to explore and research the changes which the band have made during this time and how it has affected the bands aesthetic and consider how this can be shown when producing an outcome. You will need to research their current target audience and has this changed over the years too. Consider what design approach is most suitable for their target audience.
