Context A book is a set of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of ink, paper, parchment, or other materials, usually fastened together to hinge at one side and have been used throughout history globally since the introduction of writing. Now with the introduction and growing use of technology in everyday life the traditional paper formed book is being replaced with electronic versions. Brief or Tasks Produce a graphical piece that communicates across print and web that considers and demonstrates how we read in the 21st century. Preparation/Research suggestions You will need to consider how technology has affected reading and the production of paper copies along with the history of books. Other developments in printing should also be considered. You will also need to consider how to show an unbiased argument of the subject. Evidence – for this project students should submit The outcome will need to be displayed across print and web, in the form of a printed publication and a website/app. Regular posts to your design practice and context blog in response to your findings and practical investigations.
