Context Yorkshire is a historic county of Northern England and the largest in the United Kingdom. Due to its great size in comparison to other English counties, functions have been increasingly undertaken over time by its subdivisions, which have also been subject to periodic reform. Throughout these changes, Yorkshire has continued to be recognised as a geographical territory and cultural region. Brief or Tasks This brief will require a great understanding of Yorkshire in order to document and show within a publication the positives and negatives of the county and its tourism. The publication should be educational, factual and documentative and be able to be translated into an understandable digital format. Preparation/Research suggestions You will need to consider when and where you generate your primary content and images from. Also need to consider what makes Yorkshire so desirable but also its weaknesses as a county and how this can be shown to a tourist audience. Evidence – for this project students should submit A printed publication and app based product. Regular posts to your design practice and context blog in response to your findings and practical investigations. Clearly tagged posts with the correct module code and relevant information. All relevant deliverables to be present in an appropriate visual format Use of primary and secondary research
