Brief Title: Coeliac typeface

Context Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease. Gluten, which is found in wheat, barley and rye triggers an immune reaction in people with coeliac disease. This means that eating gluten damages the lining of the small intestine. Other parts of the body may be affected. Brief or Tasks A typeface that can be applied to a range of products to promote the awareness of the condition and educate both children and their parents of coeliac disease. Must work across print and web. Why: To produce a typeface that is intended for the target audience of under 14’s for the suitable use within a further awareness publication. What: A full display typeface in two styles used in titles and headlines for Coeliac Awareness information. How: Vector artwork and a type specimen booklet showcasing the type. Who: Parents of Coeliac Patients Preparation/Research suggestions Look at existing NHS and health based information publications Investigate typography aimed towards a younger audience. You will need to consider how to present the information in a fun and understandable way to both children and their parents.
Evidence – for this project students should submit Display typeface in 2 styles. Type specimen booklet with 2 pull out colouring in posters. Clearly tagged posts with the correct module code and relevant information. All relevant deliverables to be present in an appropriate visual format. Briefing: Monday 30/09/2013
