As the 2010 Fair Queen I have been involved in many events over the past year where I have represented our Fair and commuity. When I competed for the PA State Fair Queen and spoke with the other 55 contestants, I realized that our fair is very special. Don’t miss out on this year’s exciting events and shows. Fred Dillner
Remembering
We are saddened to share the news of the death of long-time Fair Board member and friend, Fred Dillner. Fred passed away in his home on March 30, 2011. Fred and his wife Rose have been a huge part of the Shippensburg Community Fair’s development and success since its beginning. Fred served as the fair treasurer for 37 years, from 1960 to 1996. Even after his resignation as treasurer, Fred remained an active member of the Executive Committee where he provided his heartfelt guidance and leadership to the entire organization. Fred’s sincerity, generosity, leadership and kind heart will be greatly missed by all. 3 • Shippensburg Community Fair 2011
