RELIGION

The most important religion is catholicism with ( 86.2%) of people practicing it.

Second religion is orthodox Christianism that is basically the same as catholicism but the only difference is that this religion is based entirely on the Bible and if the bible tells it they do it exactly what it says. This religion is the Islamism in this religion they represent God with the name of “ALA” an important fact is that they have to go once a year to a church called “LA MECA” to receive the blessing.


LANGUAGE Croatian is the official language of Croatia. In their alphabet they only have 25 letters and it´s base is the latin alphabet. Other languages that people speak are Hungarian, Italian, Serbian and Slovak

MUSIC In Croatia both pop and rock are popular, as well as pop music influenced by Dalmatian or Slavonian folk elements. Since the mid-20th century, schlager and chasoninspired music have formed the backbone of the Croatian popular music. Ganga: is a type of singing which is characterized by a lone singer singing one line of lyrics and then others joining in for what can be best described as a wail.

CUSTOMS The traditional clothing is worn by them. The females of Croatia usually wear the dresses that consist a plain white dress which is usually the basic form of the costume. It is then added with other clothing and decorations, which may include another overdress or skirt, a decorative jacket, apron, kerchief which are usually decorated with a floral . The embroidery is usually red, white, blue, gold, or black. The women of Croatia also wear a lot of traditional jewellery, ranging from necklaces, earrings,bracelets, and rings could consist of gold, silver, or even pearls.


For the croatian males, the traditional dress consists on wide slacks, and a shirt, and both are usually either black or white, or both. the men of croatia may wear a decorative vest over his shirt . The man almost always wears a cap, varying in shape and design depending on the region. Footwear, like the women’s’, consists mainly on boots and sandals.


CROATIAN ART THE ARTS ARE GENERALLY WELL SUPPORTED IN CROATIA, INCLUDING LITERATURE, FINE ARTS, GRAPHIC ARTS AND PERFORMANCE ARTS.

THERE WERE MANY CROATIAN ARTS WITH A MEDIEVAL STYLE, LATER CROATIA INCLUDED STYLES AS BAROQUE AND ROCOCO. THE ART IS ALSO IMPORTANT, AND PART OF THE CROATIAN NATIONAL IDENTITY.

ANNUAL PROCESSIONS OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THE VILLAGE ON FEAST DAYS, COLLECTING GIFTS, WERE COMMON IN THE PANNONIAN CULTURE. AT CHRISTMAS AND THE NEW YEAR, IT WAS CUSTOMARY TO PROCESS THROUGH THE STREETS, GREETING THE NEIGHBORS WITH SONGS AND COLLECTING GIFTS THIS IS FOR ADRIATIC CULTURE . MARRIED WOMEN COVERED THEIR HANDS WITH WHITE KERCHIEFS.
