Rhythm Night Club Memorial and Watkins Street Cemetery Tour The annual memorial event honors those who perished in the fatal fire at the Rhythm Night Club. Tours leaving from the Rhythm Club Museum will take riders to Watkins Cemetery, site of the mass grave of victims of the fire. The Rhythm Night Club fire occurred on the night of April 23, 1940,o and killed 209 people and severely injured many others. It is now ranked as the fourth deadliest assembly and club fire in U.S. history.
