Disasters Leave Children Vulnerable But National NGO Comes To Their Aid Disasters like floods, earthquakes happen many a time around us. Most of the time these come unannounced and when you least expect it. all people in the area that this disaster has struck are affected badly. But the children are affected more so.

Their condition would be worse if the children from some family survives the mishap and the elders and parents succumb to the injuries or are lost in the milieu of such happenings.

These children then become desolate and become traumatized and do not know whom to ask for help. one side there is fear and on the other unbearable hunger.

This kind of situation makes them more vulnerable.

Many a time it is seen the miscreants and anti-socialelements take advantage of such situations and can lure children to their side. Once they are able to get them into confidence they use them for their own end and make them part of their antisocial activities and crimes.

Unknowingly the children become their victims and are not even aware of the impediment they have been put into. By the time they come to know about the reality it would be too late and they would have no way to get out of such a situation.

To avoid the children falling into the hands of such malefactors the shelter homes like National NGO makes it a point to bring the survived children who have lost their parents and have nowhere to go under their wing.

Then at this National NGO they are provided with all that a child needs to grow from food, clothing to health care and medical aid and even counselling to bring them back to lead a healthy life both mentally and physically.

They are assisted by the volunteers and also the counsellors to overcome the fear of the mishap and move on in life and to start afresh. This will make them lead a destressed life and will also help them learn some skills that will aid them to do something in their life in their future.
