Donate your skill not only money that matter

DONATE YOUR SKILL NOT ONLY MONEY THAT MATTERS! Donating money has been the traditional way of extending help to a cause or people. There are people who don’t believe in charity work and all they understand is “some kind of money making org”, when NGOs call them for help. It’s not their fault, they just have not found the way or say organisations have not found the way to exploit their skills as a donation. For example, suppose an NGO wants to have an application dedicated to disaster management, but lacks the resources to build it. In this case, a group of developers can donate their skills in building this app. It’s not only money that matters, time spent with needy people has been equally important in this ever changing fast world of globalization.

LET’S CHANGE THE SCENE Imagine an India where people donate their skills in return of a satisfaction or a feeling of inner hunger fulfilling. What it is like to paint an old building with other budding persons . What it is like to clean a street filled with garbage. What it is like to get up early in the morning and teach Yoga to children. It is the feeling of ‘giving’ – there is no more powerful feeling than this. Human mind, I am not sure, it is a technical default or we have been trained like this to live either in the future or the past. We always miss the most important aspect of our lifetime – the passing by, present – it will not come back again. Helping someone gives us an instant positive feeling and it reminds us the greatness within ourselves in present.

There are so many skills that can be imparted to people and organizations which seeks help but get none. The most sought after help is making a digital space for the small ogranizations. They either lack the expertise or resources. Thus, skill donation is the need of the hour. This is an initiative to bridge the gap between the need and skill provider. India is a home to 1.3 billion people and more than 60% of the population are under 35. However, the persistent poverty has made it difficult to exploit this working force into a productive force. Your time and skill can change the scenario for a better and prosperous India. Come forward, and make India as our forefathers dreamed it, as Gandhi thought it. Gandhi’s emphasis on Charkha was not merely a resistance to British India, but he wanted to include every member of the community to produce towards a self reliance economy. Similarly, your effort can create an India which you always dreamed of. Feeling inspired, act now.
