So whatever kind of work they do will be for gaining some monetary benefits. Not many people are able to pursue their passion because they may not get any financial benefit from it. But is financial benefit everything in life. No it is not. People should do some activities that give them pleasure or are beneficial to some others in some or the other way. One such activity is doing volunteer work for some shelter home or NGO.
These are the homes where the destitute of different ages are given shelter. National NGO is one such organisation that mainly helps the children who have no one to take care of them. Many of them will be physically or mentally challenged. These kinds of people need financial help no doubt but they even need more than that. Yes if possible you can donate as much as you can for their betterment. All the donations and funds given in favour of National NGO will go for their upliftment. They will be provided quality healthcare and education. Money can buy all these and can make them skilled as well as healthy adults. They can then join the mainstream society and live a comfortable life securing a job for themselves and also become self reliant. But the work of a volunteer is beyond this financial help. Money is valuable no doubt but time is more valuable than that. You can work and earn some money but time
cannot be earned. You have to use it judiciously to get the full benefit of it. Why not use some time to the betterment of the society. Spend some time with the destitute children and impart some of your skills or teach them something which will be helpful for them in their future. It can be some language or some art which you are skilled at like music, dance, painting or some such. This will go a long way in shaping their future and also build more confidence in them to face the society when they join in it in a few years time. The money spent on them may be forgotten by these people but not what they have been taught by someone. You will be considered a better philanthropist than the one who is donating funds in lakhs and crores.
