Exhibition: NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship. This exhibition presented with Artspace profiles the dynamism and breadth of emerging contemporary artistic practice in NSW. Valued at $30,000, the Fellowship is offered by the NSW Government through Create NSW. The exhibition features finalists; Eddie Abd, Chun Yin Rainbow Chan, Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen, Joe Wilson and Chanelle Collier, Emily Parsons-Lord and Genevieve Felix Reynolds.

National Art School Library: Visit our specialist research library dedicated to the visual arts, an amazing resource for our students and check out the Library Stairwell Gallery located at the rear of the library where Paper Moon featuring the work of BFA3 Printmaking students is on view.

NAS Workshop: Drop into the workshop, a hive of activity for students working across artistic disciplines. Check out the tools and equipment, explore different techniques, and find out about support for students.

ARCHIVE AND COLLECTION BUILDING 11

Historic Collection: The NAS Archives contain an extraordinary collection of artefacts from the site’s history and artworks from alumni.

RAYNER HOFF PROJECT SPACE

Painting Workshop: NAS is bringing Painting alive with its longest collaborative painting ever. Participate by painting a part of this 12-meter canvas and leave your mark whilst enjoying the experience of painting.

Exhibition: The Drawing Exchange is an artist-led program focusing on innovative drawing practices. Drop by and connect with artists Aude Parichot (10am – 1pm) and Margaret Seymour (1pm – 4pm) who will be in the gallery talking about their works, the exhibition, and NAS’s commitment to contemporary drawing practice.

Hands-on Life Drawing: Draw from a life model in the Chapel, one of the School’s most beautiful historic buildings, and our new dedicated drawing studio.

Printmaking workshop: Using everyday packaging of milk cartons and chocolate packets, make your very own dry-point etching. An environmentally friendly way to engage with image making, create a drawing from a cardboard matrix, ink it up, and print it using one of NAS’s rolling print presses to take home with you.
